We tend to fade into the background and let you lead, photographing the day you planned rather than shaping it into something that suits the camera. We photograph emotion first and composition second, then find that when the feeling is real the composition tends to take care of itself. Two of us usually cover the day, one following you and one on the guests, so both sides of every moment are recorded without either of us crowding the room.

For relaxed couple photographs, we like Grosvenor Park, a Victorian park close to the city centre and the River Dee, and The Eastgate Clock above the city walls gives the day a strong sense of Chester.

Whatever your ceremony looks like

From the walk down the aisle to the final blessing, we follow the ceremony as it happens, never staging a thing and never breaking its rhythm. We give the ceremony the room it needs, standing back so nothing feels posed, and we still catch the tears, the smiles and the steadying hand on an arm. The exchange of rings, the signing of the register and the walk back up the aisle all matter to us, and we cover each without asking you to pause.

The morning preparations set the tone, so we begin early, photographing the calm, the nerves and the laughter as you and your party get ready. The cutting of the cake and the first dance often draw the whole room in, and we photograph them from within the crowd so the pictures feel shared. From the first toast to the last song, we stay attentive through the evening, photographing the dancing, the laughter and the friends who linger late.
