A church supplies height, distance and awkward light in one package, and one thing worth asking whoever conducts it is where a camera is expected to stay.

Group lists are the part couples underrate. Each combination named costs daylight, and the list swells rather than shrinks during the final week. Write it, cut it, then give it to somebody who knows both families by sight and has no fear of raising their voice. Do it that way and it is over while light still favours you. Postpone the whole exercise and it eats the afternoon you wanted for yourselves. Nobody thanks you for a longer list.

Always, and it begins before the day. We check which way rooms face and what the forecast intends, then settle where portraits happen if the sky shuts down. Poor light is a planning problem much more than an equipment one.

Can we meet before the wedding?+

Meeting first is worth the effort. Half an hour face to face tells you whether you want us in the room, which no website manages. Where travelling is awkward, a video call does the same work.
