Bell founding has been an industry here for a very long time, and the Loughborough Carillon war memorial tower in Queen's Park is the town's clearest expression of it. That Victorian park in the centre is also the practical answer to where a group photograph goes, being central enough to reach between events. A wedding here may stretch across a full day with two separate gatherings. Prestwold Hall, Quorn Country Hotel and Ladywood Estate all sit outside the centre, so the transfer between ceremony and reception belongs in the running order rather than being squeezed in. Midland Main Line services reach the railway station, the Great Central Railway heritage line is based in the town, and guests travel across from Barrow upon Soar, Woodhouse Eaves and Hathern.
