The short answer
An award winning, London based Asian wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings in Loughborough and across Leicestershire. We plan our movements so the couple never feels managed, staying near enough to catch everything and far enough to let the day belong to you. Whether your wedding in Loughborough is Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim, Tamil or a fusion of traditions, we know the order of each faith's rituals and cover the whole celebration. Our experience runs deep across Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Punjabi, Muslim and Tamil weddings. A second photographer, a female photographer for segregated events and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Leicestershire and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Serving Loughborough
Loughborough is a Leicestershire town with a strong South Asian community. Couples throughout Shepshed, Quorn and Mountsorrel trust us with ceremonies in their family's place of worship and receptions in the county's largest venues alike. At a Hindu wedding, the pheras around the sacred fire seal the marriage, and we capture them close.
The food, the decor and the small details matter to us, so between the big set pieces we quietly gather the textures that make your day yours. We read the rhythm of an Asian celebration and are always in the right place at the right time. Multi-day weddings ask for stamina and planning, so we map the running order with you beforehand and pace ourselves to be sharp from the haldi to the last song.
From our London base we travel across Leicestershire for Asian weddings, and Loughborough, a Leicestershire town with a strong South Asian community, is a familiar destination. We also photograph in nearby Leicester and Nottingham. Loughborough and the towns around it offer venues such as Prestwold Hall, Quorn Country Hotel and Ladywood Estate, all familiar to us.
Loughborough is a Leicestershire town home to Loughborough University and a strong South Asian community, with bell founding a longstanding local industry. Loughborough railway station is on the Midland Main Line, and the town is the base of the Great Central Railway heritage line. When there is time for couple portraits, Queen's Park, a Victorian park in the centre of Loughborough is a favourite, and The Loughborough Carillon war memorial tower in Queen's Park makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
Beautifully bound albums and fine prints, designed around your favourite images.
Discreet coverage of the Anand Karaj and the laavan in the gurdwara.
The mehndi, haldi and sangeet, where the warmest, most natural moments often happen.
Every tradition
We are mindful of every family's customs at the ceremony, and photograph them exactly as they happen. At the gurdwara, the couple's walk around the Guru Granth Sahib during each laav is captured with reverence. The kanyadaan, when a father places his daughter's hand in her husband's, is quiet and full of feeling, and we frame it without ever intruding.
For Gujarati families the garba and raas fill an evening with circling colour and movement, and we love following the dandiya sticks and the swirling skirts. For Gujarati families the garba and the raas fill the evening with colour and movement, and we love photographing them. The engagement or roka often opens the journey months ahead, and we are happy to be there from that first gathering whenever families ask.

The whole celebration
Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them. Many Asian weddings begin days before the ceremony with the mehndi, the haldi and a sangeet.
We know the order and timing of each tradition's wedding day, so we are always in position. We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last dance.
Why choose us
A thousand weddings in, we still find every celebration unique, and photograph it that way. Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what comes next, whatever the faith.
Reaching your temple, gurdwara, mosque, mehndi and reception is our concern, not yours, wherever across the region they happen to fall. When your ceremony and reception sit in different towns across Shepshed, Quorn and Mountsorrel, we map the day in advance so no minute of coverage is lost in transit.

Where we travel
Multi-venue days are never an issue; we plan the route and the timings in advance. Much of our work takes us well beyond London, and the venues of Leicestershire are journeys we make gladly and often.

Good to know
We do. Having worked at many gurdwaras, we know the flow of the Anand Karaj, from the arrival at the palki to the four laavan around the Guru Granth Sahib. Knowing what comes next lets us position ourselves quietly and respectfully while still recording each meaningful moment.
We often recommend a second photographer for Asian weddings in Loughborough. With separate bride and groom preparations, a baraat and a large guest count, a second shooter lets us cover two things at once and gather more angles of the ceremony. For busy multi-event days it is well worth it.
Certainly. Many couples hold a register office or civil ceremony alongside their religious rites, sometimes on different days, and we are happy to cover both. We build a timeline that links the two so your finished collection tells one continuous story of how you married.
Yes, and we enjoy the variety a fusion day brings. Whether you are combining a Hindu ceremony with a civil service, or a Sikh and Muslim family coming together, we respect the customs of each side. We plan the timeline carefully so both traditions are given equal attention.
Many times. Asian weddings bring together dhol drummers, decorators, caterers and entertainers, and we know how to work alongside them without getting in each other's way. Good coordination on the day keeps things flowing, and it means we are always in the right place when something happens.
Very much so. Whatever the tradition, we photograph the vows and the sacred rituals from a respectful distance using quiet, long-lens work, so the ceremony is never disturbed. Our documentary style keeps the day feeling like yours, and we remain a calm, unobtrusive presence throughout.
With respect for the space and its customs. We remove our shoes, cover our heads where required and stay mindful of areas we should not enter. Knowing how these venues work lets us find quiet vantage points, so we document the ceremony without ever intruding on it.
