A civil ceremony at Peterborough Register Office on Thorpe Road, with its ceremony rooms on the ground floor, a sole-use day at Elton Hall in its Orangery or Victorian Billiard Room, or a wedding at The Bell at Stilton: whichever you choose, we would photograph the whole day as it unfolds. Guest phones are part of every ceremony now, so we would stand closer than they do and shoot a beat earlier. An engagement shoot at Ferry Meadows, with its lakes, meadows and woodland, a second photographer for busier days and fine art albums can all be added to your booking.
Norman stonework and a striking West Front make Peterborough Cathedral this city's defining building, and the West Front in particular needs early or late sun to show its depth rather than flatten into a wall. Ferry Meadows Country Park within Nene Park, with its lakes and open meadows, is the natural second location and gives large family groups the space they need. Peterborough railway station lies on the East Coast Main Line with fast services from London King's Cross, and guests from Whittlesey, Yaxley and Eye come in on local roads that slow considerably by evening.
