Legally a wedding is short and largely clerical. That is exactly the reason the room hosting it deserves so much thought. Once a licensed room is booked it cannot be moved, and neither can its windows. Whatever that room holds in the way of light at your chosen hour is what your ceremony pictures will be made from, and no lamp we carry replaces it.

Plymouth answers that question three fairly different ways. A country-house hotel holds everyone in one place from morning to midnight and owes nothing at all to the weather. A stone civic building supplies proportion and tall glass but seldom any fitted lighting. A studio conversion supplies blank walls and a free hand. Draft the list well in advance, keep the number of combinations low, and hand it to two cousins who recognise everyone by sight and do not mind shouting. We can work through thirty groupings if you genuinely want them. The cost is a drinks reception spent being herded instead of spent with people who came a long way.

What happens if you are ill on the day?+

We would turn up regardless, short of a doctor physically preventing it. Were that ever to happen, we keep contacts among photographers whose work sits near ours, would place one with you the same morning, and would edit the files here so the finish matched.

What happens if your equipment fails?+

Each camera has its twin waiting in the bag, and both record to a second card in parallel, so a card that dies takes nothing with it. Lenses, flashguns and batteries double up for the same reason.

Do you ask for a deposit to secure our date?+

Yes. Dates are held in the order the fees arrive, not in the order the enquiries do. Whatever you put down is credited against the final figure rather than added to it, and what is left gets paid nearer the time. Verbal holds are not holds.

Do you travel to Plymouth for weddings?+

We do. The journey is part of the plan and not an afterthought bolted onto it. If a Plymouth start is early we come down the evening before and stay locally, so the morning opens with us already present.
