Over a multi-day booking the ceremonies cause the least trouble of anything on the schedule. They run to a plan, they are lit by whatever lights them, and everyone knows roughly where to stand. Things come apart in the gaps instead: a car that cannot reach the door, a bride ready forty minutes ahead of anyone's expectation, a family portrait nobody wrote down. Those gaps get the hardest planning from us, because nobody else is planning them.

Being a city centre is Brighton's specific complication. Equipment travels between venues on wheels through streets never laid out for it, and every transfer between one day's room and the next subtracts time from photography. Where a day uses a second venue, scout the route and agree a handover point beforehand. Put consecutive functions in one building if you can; if you cannot, write the transfer into the schedule as an event with a length.

A signing lasts ninety seconds and will not be repeated for anyone.
