Serving Rochester
Rochester is a historic Medway city with a cathedral and castle. Couples come to us from across the Home Counties, and Chatham, Strood and Gillingham are firmly on our patch. From grand banqueting suites to intimate temple ceremonies, we are at home everywhere across Kent.
We bring a long lens and a light touch, so the most sacred parts of the day are captured from a respectful distance. We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the vows as faithfully as the bhangra. We photograph the small moments as carefully as the grand ones, the glances as well as the rituals.
We have photographed Asian weddings throughout Chatham, Strood and Gillingham for many years, and Rochester, a historic Medway city with a cathedral and castle, is a familiar and welcome destination. We also cover nearby Gillingham and Canterbury. In and around Rochester, we have photographed at venues such as Eastgate House, Upnor Castle and The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
Rochester is a historic city in the Medway towns with strong Charles Dickens associations. Rochester station offers Southeastern high speed HS1 services, and the town lies near the M2 and A2. For relaxed couple photographs, we like The Vines, a historic green space, and Rochester Castle Gardens, and Rochester Cathedral and the Norman Rochester Castle beside the Medway gives the day a strong sense of Rochester.

What we offer
The dhol, the dancing and the groom's joyful arrival, photographed with all of its energy.
The milni, the blessings and the gatherings, so the whole family is remembered.
Calm, unobtrusive coverage that captures the day as you lived it, never staged.
Every tradition
For Gujarati families we know the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras and photograph each as you keep it. The muhurat and muhurtham, the auspicious hours, set the pace of the ceremony, and we plan around them. At a Hindu wedding, the pheras around the sacred fire seal the marriage, and we capture them close.
The haldi or pithi is full of colour and play, and often holds the warmest, most natural moments. The mehndi or henna night is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. The mehndi night, the sangeet and the haldi each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all.

The whole celebration
Many Asian weddings begin days before the ceremony with the mehndi, the haldi and a sangeet. The henna of the mehndi and the turmeric of the haldi are rich with colour, and we make the most of it.
From the baraat to the last guest, we follow the whole day at its own pace. From the morning preparations to the final dance, we give every part of the day the same care.

Good to know
Yes. For celebrations where events are separate or segregated, we can arrange additional photographers so every part of the day is covered with sensitivity and discretion. Just let us know what your family needs when you enquire and we will plan the coverage around it.
Yes. A pre-wedding shoot is a lovely way to relax in front of the camera before the big day, and we are happy to arrange one at a location you love.
Most Asian weddings run from the morning preparations through to the reception, so full-day coverage works best and captures the whole story. For multi-day celebrations we tailor the hours to your events, and can cover a single key day or a long weekend from beginning to end.
Absolutely. We regularly cover the mehndi, the sangeet, the haldi, the ceremony and the reception across two or three days in Rochester, and we bring additional photographers for the largest celebrations so that no event, from the baraat to the last dance, is ever missed.
Yes. We photograph the muhurtham, the tying of the thali and the many rituals of a Tamil or South Indian wedding, and we understand their early timings and their sequence.
