Directory claims, removed, and the questions to ask instead

Earlier versions of this guide repeated details such as a 150-seat banqueting suite, outside caterers with an onsite kitchen and a list of faiths the club hosts. None of those can be traced to an official page, so they have been removed. A directory listing describes a banqueting suite overlooking the golf course and gives a seating capacity of 800; other directories say over 600. Those are directory figures, not the club's, and they should not be planned around.

Ask the club, in writing, before you shortlist it:

Which room would hold your wedding, and how many does it seat for a meal and stand for an evening?
Is the venue approved for civil ceremonies, and in which room?
Are outside caterers allowed, is there a kitchen they can use, and what are the alcohol and halal arrangements?
Is a mandap, a havan with an open flame, or a baraat with a dhol permitted?
What is the finish time, how many parking spaces are there, and what does hire cost?

If the legal ceremony cannot be held at the club, a register office ceremony beforehand is the usual alternative, with the celebration at the club afterwards.
