We shoot candidly through the long ceremony, resting the camera on the small human details, the joined hands, the knotted garments, the shared smiles, as the priest guides you. Slower shutter speeds during the garba let the skirts and the dandiya blur while the faces stay sharp, so we hand you pictures that carry the movement of the circle rather than freezing it. For group and family portraits we work briskly and warmly, gathering people with a light touch so nobody stands around waiting and the celebration keeps its momentum.

The antarpat between you falls at a moment you will never see for yourselves, so we photograph from the side as the curtain drops and you look at one another for the first time. Grah shanti is held quietly at home with only close family present, and the intimacy of that room, small, warm and often crowded, calls for a wider lens and a lighter step. We capture the groom's arrival on the horse or in the car as the baraat dances him forward, then follow him to the milni where the two families greet one another.

Engagement and roka ceremonies are often the first time both families sit together, and photographing that day gives you pictures of a relationship the wedding album would otherwise start halfway through. The reception speeches always bring out the best stories, and we photograph the room's reaction, the laughter rolling through the tables and the pride on the faces of your parents.
