Out of respect for the ceremony, and because ambient light suits it far better, we avoid flash around the agni and the mandap wherever we can, leaning instead on fast lenses and the light already in the room. If it becomes too dim, we introduce a little light discreetly, taking pains never to distract the priest or disturb the prayers.
