Hindu Wedding Photographer in Edmonton

Expect several hundred finished photographs from a full Hindu wedding, and considerably more from a multi-day celebration, where the many events and rituals give us so much to document. Every single image is edited by hand to a consistent, natural look. We would never deliver a sparse highlights set; instead you receive the complete story of the celebration, with nothing important omitted.

We do, and our fine-art albums are hand-finished with archival printing and beautiful, hard-wearing covers. A Hindu wedding tells a rich, colourful story, and an album lets it unfold across the pages the way the day unfolded. We design each spread with you, so the mandap, the details and the family portraits all sit together as a lasting heirloom.

Rarely, and only with great care. Out of respect for the ceremony, and because ambient light suits it far better, we avoid flash around the agni and the mandap wherever we can, leaning instead on fast lenses and the light already in the room. If it becomes too dim, we introduce a little light discreetly, taking pains never to distract the priest or disturb the prayers.

We anticipate it. Sangeet routines move quickly under coloured lights, so we prepare for them. If there is a rehearsal we note the cues, choose our spots for the lifts and reactions, and use lenses that stay sharp under stage lighting. The result is lively pictures of the dancers and of the relatives cheering them on.

By slowing right down, because a Hindu ceremony often stretches across a few hours. We stay calm on our feet, keep out of everyone's line of sight and only move when a natural break allows it. Remaining quietly in the background throughout lets the family stay present in the rituals, while we go about capturing the frames that tell the whole story of the day.
