Hull is a maritime city with a diverse community. We travel throughout East Yorkshire for mandap ceremonies, and Cottingham, Hessle and Beverley are all familiar to us. From Hull we cover weddings right across East Yorkshire, at temples, hotels, marquees and banqueting suites.

We work discreetly around the pandit and the families, never intruding on a sacred moment. We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind each ritual. We photograph the small moments as carefully as the grand ones, the glances as well as the rituals.

The rituals that make your day

The varmala and the madhuparka each have their place, and we capture them as they happen. The most sacred parts of the day are captured from a respectful distance with a quiet long lens. The saptapadi, the seven steps the couple take together, seals the marriage, and we photograph it with reverence.

We photograph the bridal preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye. We photograph the milni, when the two families meet, with all of its warmth. The reception is the joyful finale, with speeches, the first dance and the bhangra.
