We photograph the ganesh puja and the invocation that starts the ceremony with a steady, respectful hand, holding the priest, the fire and the family in a calm opening sequence.
Sehra bandi, when the groom's turban and the veil of flowers are tied by his family, is short and quietly proud, and we photograph it before the baraat noise begins outside.
