Serving Watford

Capturing Muslim weddings in Watford

Watford is a lively Hertfordshire town with banqueting venues. We travel throughout Hertfordshire for nikah ceremonies, and Bushey, Garston and Oxhey are all familiar to us. From Watford we cover weddings right across Hertfordshire, at mosques, hotels, marquees and banqueting suites.

We are calm and unhurried at the mosque, gathering the whole nikah without ever getting in the imam's way. We document each event as it happens, from the mehndi to the walima, so your gallery feels true to the day you lived. We move softly around the imam through the nikah, capturing the real moments rather than staging them.

We have photographed Muslim weddings throughout Bushey, Garston and Oxhey for many years, and Watford, a lively Hertfordshire town with banqueting venues, is a familiar and welcome destination. We also cover nearby Carpenders Park and Maple Cross. Around Watford we regularly photograph at The Grove, The Langley Banqueting Suites and Hilton Watford, among others.

A lively Hertfordshire town just outside London, with a large shopping centre and a well-known football club. Served by Watford Junction on the West Coast Main Line and Watford station on the Metropolitan line. For portraits away from the celebration, Cassiobury Park, a large historic park with the River Gade and canal works beautifully, and Vicarage Road, home of Watford Football Club, with the Warner Bros. Studio Tour at nearby Leavesden adds a real sense of place.

Every tradition

At home with Muslim wedding tradition

We know the order of the nikah by heart, so we are always in position for each moment. We are mindful of every family's customs at the nikah, Pakistani, Bengali, Arab or Turkish. We work quietly around the imam so the nikah is never disturbed.

The mangni, the engagement that begins the journey, is one we are glad to cover when families ask. The rukhsati, when the bride leaves her family home, is the most tender moment of the day. We photograph the sanchaq and the exchange of gifts between the families with all of their warmth.

The whole celebration

From mehndi to walima in Watford

Many families hold a mangni long before the wedding, and a mehndi the night before the nikah. We arrive in good time for each pre-wedding event and stay until the celebrations wind down.

We know the order and timing of the wedding day, so we are always in position for each moment. From the nikah to the last guest, we follow the whole day at its own pace.

Why choose us

A Muslim wedding photographer covering Watford

We are award-winning photographers with a long history of Muslim and Asian weddings, from the baraat to the walima. A thousand weddings in, we still find every walima unique, and photograph it that way.

We cover the whole of the UK for Muslim weddings, so distance never stands between us and your nikah. We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us to mosques and banqueting halls across the Home Counties.
