160 acres gives real distance between the house, the gardens and the golf course. Portrait time is travel time here; twenty minutes buys more than it would at a single-building venue.

The Dutch Gardens and the parkland give a formal and an informal option within a short walk, so a portrait slot does not need a vehicle. On a 160-acre site that is worth confirming when you visit: not every estate offers it.

The Manor House dates from 1853 and sits in 160 acres of parkland and formal gardens, including the Dutch Gardens. The venue does not publish a listing grade for it and we have not asserted one.

The contemporary Apsley Suite is the working room for a large Asian wedding, and it is a different proposition from the Manor House: bigger, plainer, and with its own kitchen. Most couples use the Manor House for the ceremony or a smaller daytime sitting and the Apsley Suite for the reception.
