Serving Chalfont St Peter
Chalfont St Peter is a picturesque Buckinghamshire village. Across Gerrards Cross, Denham and the rest of Buckinghamshire, we cover the milni, the Anand Karaj and the reception with a careful eye. Sikh weddings often begin early in the gurdwara, and we are always in good time for the milni.
We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind each shabad the ragis sing. We photograph the small moments as carefully as the grand ones, the choora and kaleere as well as the four laavan. We anticipate each part of the Anand Karaj, so the milni, the four laavan and the ardaas are never missed.
Sikh families across Gerrards Cross, Denham trust us with their weddings, and Chalfont St Peter, a picturesque Buckinghamshire village, is a place we return to often. We also cover nearby Denham and High Wycombe. Chalfont St Peter and the towns around it offer venues such as The Greyhound Inn, The Bull Hotel and Denham Grove, all familiar to us.
A large Buckinghamshire village described as the gateway to the Chiltern Hills, with the chalk stream river Misbourne flowing through it. The A413 links the village towards Amersham and Gerrards Cross, with Gerrards Cross station on the Chiltern Main Line nearby. We often take couples to Gold Hill Common, around 16 acres of open green and small woodland near the village centre for a few quiet portraits, and St Peter's parish church, a Grade II listed building dating from 1715 beside the Misbourne is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
From the Akhand Path and maiyan to the doli, every day of the Sikh celebration covered.
A sneak preview of the Anand Karaj soon after the wedding, with your full gallery to follow.
The standing prayer that frames the Anand Karaj, captured as the sangat bow before the Guru Granth Sahib.
Every tradition
Heads covered and seated on the floor with the sangat, we photograph the laavan without ever intruding. The hukamnama, the reading taken after the laavan, closes the ceremony, and we capture it with respect. We are ready for the palla, when the bride's father places the sash in the couple's hands before the laavan.
The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention. The mehndi, the jaggo and the maiyan each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. From the first event to the last, we tell the full story of the celebration.

The whole celebration
We arrive in good time for each pre-wedding event and stay until the celebrations wind down. The jaggo night brings an evening of music, dancing and candlelit pots before the wedding day itself.
We keep the day flowing, moving smoothly between the ceremony, the langar, the family photos and the reception. We document the grand moments and the quiet ones in between, so nothing is lost.
Why choose us
Years inside gurdwaras have taught us exactly how to photograph the Anand Karaj respectfully and unseen. We have built our reputation on reliability, warmth and a genuine love of Sikh weddings and their rituals.
We are glad to discuss your gurdwara, your reception venue and the journey between them when you enquire. Wherever your jaggo and your Anand Karaj take place across the Home Counties, we will be there in good time for the morning kirtan.

Where we travel
Multi-venue Sikh days are never an issue; we plan the route from the gurdwara to the reception and the timings in advance. We photograph Sikh weddings throughout the Home Counties, and the gurdwaras around Chalfont St Peter are firmly within the area we cover.

Good to know
Yes. We understand gurdwara etiquette, cover our heads, remove our shoes and work from the sides and back with a long lens, never turning our back to the Guru Granth Sahib.

Yes. We stay through the evening to capture the speeches, the first dance, the bhangra and the giddha, right to the last guest on the floor.
Very. We photograph the four laavan and the prayers from a respectful distance with quiet, long-lens work, seated with the sangat, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed.
Yes. We understand that gurdwaras often require an early finish, so the Anand Karaj usually falls in the morning. We plan our coverage around it and always arrive in good time.
