Serving Chalfont St Peter
Chalfont St Peter is a picturesque Buckinghamshire village. We know the venues of the Home Counties well, and move easily between the nikah and the walima across Gerrards Cross, Denham. We work discreetly at mosques and banqueting halls, mindful of prayer times and every family's wishes.
We keep the calm of the nikah and the energy of the walima and dholki in equal measure. We photograph the small moments of the mehndi as carefully as the vows of the nikah. We photograph the solemn nikah as faithfully as the henna and dancing of the mehndi night.
We have photographed Muslim weddings throughout Gerrards Cross, Denham for many years, and Chalfont St Peter, a picturesque Buckinghamshire village, is a familiar and welcome destination. We also cover nearby Denham and High Wycombe. Venues we know well in and near Chalfont St Peter include The Greyhound Inn, The Bull Hotel and Denham Grove.
A large Buckinghamshire village described as the gateway to the Chiltern Hills, with the chalk stream river Misbourne flowing through it. The A413 links the village towards Amersham and Gerrards Cross, with Gerrards Cross station on the Chiltern Main Line nearby. When there is time for couple portraits, Gold Hill Common, around 16 acres of open green and small woodland near the village centre is a favourite, and St Peter's parish church, a Grade II listed building dating from 1715 beside the Misbourne makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
A handful of timeless portraits after the nikah, taken quietly away from the banqueting hall.
From the ijab-e-qubool and the mahr to the signing of the nikah-nama, every moment of the nikah understood and captured.
The groom's joyful baraat arrival with his family, photographed with all of its energy.
Every tradition
The rukhsati, when the bride leaves with the groom, is the most tender moment, and we photograph it gently. We photograph the blessings and the prayers of the imam with reverence. The exchange of consent and the joining of the two families is captured as it happens.
The dholki brings evenings of singing and drumming before the wedding, and we photograph their energy. Where the celebrations are segregated, we cover the men's and ladies' sides with equal care. We photograph the bridal preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye.

The whole celebration
The mehndi brings an evening of henna, music and dance before the wedding day itself. The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration.
On the wedding day, the nikah, the signing of the contract and the mahr build to the rukhsati and the walima. For the busiest days, a second photographer covers two moments at once, and a female photographer the ladies' side.
Why choose us
We have spent twenty-five years learning the detail of the mehndi and the nikah, and it shows in every gallery. We understand how much the nikah means, and we photograph the mahr and the dua with the care they deserve.
We photograph across Buckinghamshire regularly, and travelling to a nikah in Chalfont St Peter is second nature. Distance is never a problem; travelling to your mosque and banqueting hall is simply part of how we work.

Good to know
Very much so. We know the nikah by heart, from the ijab-e-qubool and the mahr to the signing of the nikah-nama and the dua, and we position ourselves so each moment is captured calmly.
Yes. The rukhsati, the bride's farewell as she leaves with the groom, is the most tender moment of the day, and we photograph it gently and with great sensitivity, staying at a respectful distance so the family's emotion is honoured.
Yes. We travel to Chalfont St Peter and across Buckinghamshire for Muslim weddings, and further afield across the UK. The nikah, the mehndi and the walima are a speciality, and distance is never a problem for us.
Of course. We regularly photograph weddings that blend cultural events such as the mehndi and the baraat with the religious nikah, and we cover fusion and mixed-faith celebrations with care, respecting the traditions of both families throughout the day.
Popular dates book up well ahead, so we recommend enquiring as early as you can, ideally once your date is set. Tell us your wedding date and venues in Chalfont St Peter and we will confirm availability straight away.
