Honouring every Sikh custom

We are ready for the palla, when the bride's father places the sash in the couple's hands before the laavan. As the ragis sing each laav, the couple walk slowly around the Guru Granth Sahib, and we photograph it quietly from the side. We are mindful of gurdwara etiquette throughout, never turning our back to the Guru Granth Sahib.

The jaggo night is an evening of music, dancing and pots lit with candles, and we capture all of its energy. We capture the lively milni as the two families meet, with the garlands, the dhol and the embraces. We photograph the chunni ceremony and the giving of the choora, and the emotion that comes with them.
