Serving Cardiff
Cardiff is the Welsh capital, with a diverse community and grand venues. Across Cathays, Grangetown and Riverside and the rest of South Wales, we cover the milni, the Anand Karaj and the reception with a careful eye. We know the local gurdwaras and their early-morning timings well, and plan the day around them.
We capture the details too, the choora, the kaleere, the sehra and the palki, that make your Anand Karaj yours. We are calm and unhurried, gathering the whole story of the Anand Karaj without ever getting in the way. We balance documentary coverage with a few quiet portraits, so your album holds both the reverence of the darbar sahib and the energy of the bhangra.
Cardiff is the Welsh capital, with a diverse community and grand venues, and we love photographing Sikh weddings here and across Wales. We regularly cover nearby Newport and Swansea as well. In and around Cardiff, we have photographed at venues such as Cardiff Castle, Mercure Cardiff Holland House and Cardiff City Stadium.
Cardiff is the capital of Wales, a diverse city with grand civic buildings around Cathays Park and a medieval castle at its centre. Cardiff Central is the city's main railway station, a short walk from the castle and the shopping streets. For portraits away from the celebration, Bute Park, around 130 acres of landscaped parkland behind Cardiff Castle, and Roath Park with its lake works beautifully, and Cardiff Castle, a medieval castle and Victorian Gothic revival mansion in the city centre adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
The tying of the groom's turban and sehra before the milni, photographed with all its ceremony.
The speeches, the first dance, the bhangra and the giddha, captured to the very last guest.
The standing prayer that frames the Anand Karaj, captured as the sangat bow before the Guru Granth Sahib.
Every tradition
We photograph the milni, the morning meeting of the two families, with all of its warmth and garlands. We work discreetly at the back and the sides of the darbar sahib, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed. We keep our distance during the laavan and the prayers, and step in only for the joyful greetings.
We document the sagai and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. The day often opens early with kirtan in the gurdwara, and we are there for it. The maiyan, when turmeric is applied, is full of colour and play, and often holds the warmest moments.

The whole celebration
The pre-wedding events often span several days, each with its own mood. The turmeric of the maiyan and the henna of the mehndi are rich with colour, and we make the most of it.
From the morning preparations to the final dance, we give every part of the day the same care. On the wedding day, the milni, the Anand Karaj and the four laavan build to the doli and the reception.
Why choose us
Experience means we are ready for the early gurdwara start, the milni and the precise order of the four laavan. Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what comes next, from the sehra bandi to the doli.
We cover the whole of the UK for Anand Karaj ceremonies, so distance never stands between us and your gurdwara. Multi-venue Sikh days are never an issue; we plan the route from the gurdwara to the reception and the timings in advance.

Where we travel
From our London base, Cardiff and the gurdwaras of South Wales are an easy, familiar journey. We photograph across South Wales regularly, and travelling to a gurdwara in Cardiff is second nature to us.
