We photograph the sikhia, the short talk given to you both before the laavan, catching the nods, the smiles and the seriousness with which you listen together. The kirtan carries the whole morning, and we photograph the ragis as part of the story, their concentration and their voices woven through the frames of your ceremony.
Pani varna sees the mother greet the returning couple at the door with a ritual that is half blessing and half theatre, and we photograph it from inside the doorway looking out. Front-room evenings before the wedding, with an old dholki, a plate of sweets and songs learned from grandmothers, produce warmer pictures than any hired stage ever manages. Phulkari draped over the bride's head at the doli catches the light beautifully, and we position ourselves so the fabric, the tears and the family behind her all sit in one frame.

Sehra bandi happens fast in a crowded room, and being there early means we already know where the window is, where the family will stand and where we can work without blocking anyone. Makeup and hair hours can be long and dull if photographed badly, so we work the room instead, the sisters, the cousins, the tea, and let the bride emerge into the story naturally.
We give equal care to the loud moments and the still ones, from the dhol at the baraat to the silence as the couple bow before the Guru Granth Sahib. The evening brings its own energy, with speeches, bhangra and the first dance, and we stay through it so both halves of the day are complete.
