Serving Harrow

Tamil wedding photographer in Harrow

Harrow is one of NW London's great Asian wedding centres, rich in temples and gurdwaras. We photograph Tamil weddings across Greater London, including Wealdstone, Kenton and North Harrow, at temples, kalyana mandapams and banqueting suites. We cover the whole of London and the surrounding area, and Harrow and the towns around it are well known to us.

We are a reassuring, familiar presence, so everyone relaxes and the oonjal songs flow naturally. We capture the details too, the Kanjeevaram silk, the temple jewellery and the jasmine, that make your day yours. We make sure the families are in the story too, not just the couple at the mandapam.

Tamil and South Indian families across Wealdstone, Kenton and North Harrow trust us with their weddings, and Harrow, one of NW London's great Asian wedding centres, rich in temples and gurdwaras, is a place we return to often. We also cover nearby Hounslow and Ilford. Venues we have photographed at near Harrow include Premier Banqueting London, Sangam Banqueting and The Hive London.

A north-west London town best known for Harrow School and the historic hilltop village of Harrow on the Hill. Served by Harrow-on-the-Hill station on the Metropolitan line and Harrow and Wealdstone station, near the A404 and A409. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Harrow Recreation Ground below the hill, with Harrow School and St Mary's Church on Harrow on the Hill close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer

Tamil wedding coverage in Harrow

01

Couple Portraits

A handful of timeless portraits in your Kanjeevaram silk and temple jewellery, away from the mandapam.

02

The Maalai Maatral

The exchange of garlands lifted high above the guests, a moment of laughter and joy.

03

Temple & Mandapam

Discreet, respectful coverage around the Iyer and Iyengar priests and the homam fire.

Every tradition

At home with Tamil wedding tradition

We work quietly around the priests so the ceremony at the mandapam is never disturbed. We know the order of the mandapam rituals by heart, so we are always in position. The blessings of the elders and the sammandhi mariyathai close the ceremony, and we capture them with warmth.

The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. The reception is the joyful finale, with the couple greeting hundreds of guests. We photograph the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands, with all of its energy and laughter.

The whole celebration

Every ritual, across every day

The muhurtham is often set for the very early morning, so the wedding day begins while it is still dark. The mehndi brings an intimate evening of henna and laughter before the wedding day itself.

Whether the wedding and reception are on the same day or spread across a weekend, we plan for it. We know the order and timing of the wedding day, so we are always in position for each ritual.

Why choose us

Reassuringly experienced in Harrow

Couples choose us for our calm presence and our knowledge of every ritual, from the kashi yatra to the saptapadi. Experience means we are ready for the early muhurtham, the precise timing and the order of the mandapam rituals.

We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us to temples and mandapams across London and the surrounding area. We travel happily across Greater London for the whole celebration, from the kashi yatra to the reception.
