Timing is everything in a Tamil wedding, and we plan our coverage around the auspicious muhurtham. We work discreetly around the Iyer and Iyengar priests, never intruding on the moment the thali is tied. We make sure the families are in the story too, not just the couple at the mandapam.

From our London base we travel across Greater London for Tamil weddings, and Hounslow, a hugely diverse west London borough with many Asian wedding venues, is a familiar destination. We also photograph in nearby Ilford and East Ham. In and around Hounslow, we have photographed at venues such as Heston Hyde Hotel, Honeymoon Banqueting and Takaa Tak Banqueting Hall.

A diverse west London borough close to Heathrow, with a busy High Street and a large mix of communities. Served by Hounslow Central, East and West stations on the Piccadilly line, with the A4 Great West Road running through it. We often take couples to Lampton Park, the largest park in Hounslow for a few quiet portraits, and Osterley Park, a National Trust mansion and parkland estate is a lovely backdrop nearby.

From the first event to the last, we tell the full story of the celebration. We photograph the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands, with all of its energy and laughter. We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the rituals.
