Serving Southwark
Southwark is a historic riverside borough in central London. Across Greater London, including Lambeth, Lewisham, we photograph the colour and devotion of every South Indian ritual. Whether your mandapam is in Southwark itself or elsewhere across Greater London, we plan the day around your venues.
We are a reassuring, familiar presence, so everyone relaxes and the oonjal songs flow naturally. We arrive early for the muhurtham, stay late and keep pace with every part of the celebration. A long lens and a light touch let us capture the sacred muhurtham from a respectful distance from the homam.
Couples come to us from right across London and the surrounding area, and Southwark is firmly on our patch. Southwark is a historic riverside borough in central London, and we know its venues well. We also cover nearby Tower Hamlets and Uxbridge. Southwark and the towns around it offer venues such as Dulwich Picture Gallery, Asylum Chapel and Kingswood Arts, all familiar to us.
A historic riverside borough in central London known for its cultural quarter along the South Bank and the vibrant Borough Market food scene. Served by London Bridge station and Southwark Underground station on the Jubilee line. When there is time for couple portraits, Southwark Park, a Victorian park in Rotherhithe with lake and rose garden is a favourite, and Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe theatre on the Bankside riverfront makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
The tying of the thali to the sound of the nadaswaram, the heart of the wedding, captured with reverence.
The exchange of garlands lifted high above the guests, a moment of laughter and joy.
Calm, unobtrusive coverage that captures the muhurtham and the mandapam as you lived them, never staged.
Every tradition
We work quietly around the priests so the ceremony at the mandapam is never disturbed. At the heart of a Tamil wedding is the maangalya dharanam, the tying of the thali that seals the marriage. We are ready for the moment the thali, the mangalsutra, is tied around the bride's neck.
We photograph the bridal preparations, the draping of the Kanjeevaram silk and the jasmine in the hair, with a gentle eye. From the henna of the mehndi to the songs of the oonjal, the events set the tone for the wedding. The paalikai, when the seed pots are prepared, is a quiet, lovely ritual we cover with a gentle eye.

The whole celebration
Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them. The pre-wedding events often span more than one day, each with its own mood.
From the early-morning preparations to the reception, we give every part of the day the same care. We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last guest.
Why choose us
We have photographed South Indian mandapam ceremonies across the country for more than two decades. Families return to us because we treat the homam and the saptapadi with the reverence they deserve.
We will travel to your temple, your kalyana mandapam and your reception, wherever the maalai maatral and the thali tying take place. We factor in travel and the early muhurtham start carefully, so we are in position before the nadaswaram begins.

Where we travel
We are London-based and travel across Greater London and the wider region for the early muhurtham and the mandapam rituals. We travel happily across Greater London for the whole celebration, from the kashi yatra to the reception.

Good to know
Yes. We have photographed Sri Lankan Tamil weddings for many years alongside South Indian ones, and we are familiar with the customs and the flow of the day, so nothing about your celebration catches us off guard.
Yes, and they are among our favourite parts of the celebration. The oonjal swing with its songs, and the playful nalangu games between the two families afterwards, are full of warmth and laughter, and we capture every bit of it.
Yes. We are comfortable photographing respectfully inside temples and kalyana mandapams, working quietly around the priests, the nadaswaram players and the homam fire, so the ceremony is captured beautifully and never disturbed.
Yes. We travel to Southwark and across Greater London for Tamil and South Indian weddings. The muhurtham, the mandapam rituals and the many surrounding events are a speciality, and distance is never a problem for a London-based team used to travelling.
Of course. We regularly photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings in Southwark, blending South Indian traditions with another family's customs with care, so both sides of the family see their day told faithfully and beautifully.
