The thali, tied to the sound of the nadaswaram, is the sacred heart of the ceremony, and we capture it close. We photograph the kanyadaanam, the giving away of the bride, at the mandapam with quiet care. We work quietly around the priests so the ceremony at the mandapam is never disturbed.

We document the nichayathartham and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. From the henna of the mehndi to the songs of the oonjal, the events set the tone for the wedding. The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention.
