Pet sessions happen where the animal already relaxes: your own garden, a familiar bit of ground, or the countryside around Downe if that is the usual walk. We cover Bromley, Beckenham, Chislehurst and Orpington, and we come to you rather than ask a nervous animal to travel to a strange room.
The practical decision is height. We photograph from the animal's own level, kneeling or flat on the ground, which puts distance behind the head instead of gravel underfoot and stops a small dog reading as something looked down upon. It also puts the lens where the animal can see it, which settles a wary dog faster than coaxing from standing height.

We work to the animal's pace and finish when it has had enough, which is sometimes twenty minutes and sometimes a full hour. Nothing is gained by walking an older dog round a field a second time, and a cat is photographed indoors on its own terms or not at all.
You get the frames where the ears and the eyes are both right, edited so the coat keeps its texture, plus at least one with the owner in it, which most people want afterwards even when they did not ask.
