Serving Harrow Weald
Harrow Weald is a northern Harrow suburb on the edge of the green belt. We regularly photograph Tamil weddings throughout Harrow, Wealdstone and the surrounding part of Greater London. We are comfortable in every setting, from a grand kalyana mandapam to a quiet family temple.
We arrive early for the muhurtham, stay late and keep pace with every part of the celebration. A long lens and a light touch let us capture the sacred muhurtham from a respectful distance from the homam. We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind the thali and the saptapadi.
We travel throughout Greater London for mandapam ceremonies, and Harrow Weald, a northern Harrow suburb on the edge of the green belt, is one we know well. We also photograph in nearby Hatch End and Havering. Around Harrow Weald we regularly photograph at Grim's Dyke Hotel and Premier Banqueting London, among others.
A northern Harrow suburb that runs up to the wooded green belt at Harrow Weald Common, with a quiet residential character. Served by Harrow and Wealdstone station to the south on the Bakerloo line and London Overground, with buses along the A409 Uxbridge Road. For portraits away from the celebration, Harrow Weald Common and the adjacent Bentley Priory Nature Reserve works beautifully, and Grim's Dyke, the former home of librettist W.S. Gilbert, now a Grade II listed hotel adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
At home with Iyer, Iyengar and South Indian Brahmin customs and their order of events.
Iyer, Iyengar, South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil weddings, with the customs understood.
The entrance, the greetings and the celebration after the thali tying, captured to the very last guest.
Every tradition
We are mindful of every family's customs at the mandapam, Iyer, Iyengar or Sri Lankan Tamil. The nadaswaram and thavil announce the sacred moments, and we are in position when they sound. The most sacred parts of the day are captured from a respectful distance with a quiet long lens.
We document the nichayathartham and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. We photograph the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands, with all of its energy and laughter. The mehndi, the nichayathartham and the nalangu each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all.

The whole celebration
Many families hold the betrothal long before the wedding, and a mehndi the night before. The mehndi brings an intimate evening of henna and laughter before the wedding day itself.
We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last guest. The story often ends with the grihapravesam that welcomes the bride into her new home.
Why choose us
Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what follows the maalai maatral in the order of the day. We know the rhythm of a mandapam ceremony by heart, so the thali tying is always captured.
Multi-venue days are never an issue; we plan the route and the early muhurtham timings in advance. We travel happily across Greater London for the whole celebration, from the kashi yatra to the reception.

Where we travel
From our London base, Harrow Weald and the rest of Greater London are an easy, familiar journey for a Tamil wedding. We photograph across Greater London regularly, and travelling to a kalyana mandapam in Harrow Weald is second nature.

Good to know
Yes. Our style is mainly documentary, capturing the day as it happens, but we will also gather a handful of timeless couple and family portraits, so your album holds both the natural energy and a few quieter, elegant images.
Absolutely. The nichayathartham, the mehndi and the sumangali prarthanai are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding, with the same care as the ceremony itself.
Most Tamil weddings run from the early-morning muhurtham through to the reception, so full-day coverage works best. For multi-day celebrations with a nichayathartham and mehndi, we tailor the hours to the events that matter most to you.
Yes. Many Tamil muhurthams are set for the very early morning, sometimes before dawn, and we are used to it. We arrive in good time and are fully ready, so the sacred hour is captured calmly and without any rush.
Of course. We regularly photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings in Harrow Weald, blending South Indian traditions with another family's customs with care, so both sides of the family see their day told faithfully and beautifully.
