Harrow Weald is a northern Harrow suburb on the edge of the green belt. We regularly photograph Tamil weddings throughout Harrow, Wealdstone and the surrounding part of Greater London. We are comfortable in every setting, from a grand kalyana mandapam to a quiet family temple.

We arrive early for the muhurtham, stay late and keep pace with every part of the celebration. A long lens and a light touch let us capture the sacred muhurtham from a respectful distance from the homam. We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind the thali and the saptapadi.

We travel throughout Greater London for mandapam ceremonies, and Harrow Weald, a northern Harrow suburb on the edge of the green belt, is one we know well. A northern Harrow suburb that runs up to the wooded green belt at Harrow Weald Common, with a quiet residential character. Served by Harrow and Wealdstone station to the south on the Bakerloo line and London Overground, with buses along the A409 Uxbridge Road. For portraits away from the celebration, Harrow Weald Common and the adjacent Bentley Priory Nature Reserve works beautifully, and Grim's Dyke, the former home of librettist W.S. Gilbert, now a Grade II listed hotel adds a real sense of place.

We document the nichayathartham and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. We photograph the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands, with all of its energy and laughter. The mehndi, the nichayathartham and the nalangu each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all.
