Serving Redbridge
Redbridge is a green outer east London borough. We are used to multi-venue days throughout Greater London, moving smoothly between Newham, Havering. We cover the whole of London and the surrounding area, and Redbridge and the towns around it are well known to us.
We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the homam as faithfully as the nalangu. We photograph the small moments as carefully as the grand ones, the jasmine and the thali alike. We work discreetly around the Iyer and Iyengar priests, never intruding on the moment the thali is tied.
From the muhurtham to the reception, we keep the day flowing across Greater London, and Redbridge, a green outer east London borough, is firmly within our patch. We also photograph in nearby Richmond upon Thames and Ruislip Manor. In and around Redbridge, we have photographed at venues such as The Willows, Crown Banqueting Suite and The Grove Banqueting.
A green outer east London borough formed in 1965 from Ilford and Wanstead and Woodford. Served by Redbridge station on the London Underground Central line, with nearby Gants Hill also on the Central line. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Valentines Park, a Green Flag park of around 130 acres, the borough's largest green space, with Valentines Mansion, a restored house dating from around 1696 in Ilford close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
Fine prints and framed art of the maalai maatral and the thali tying to bring home.
Iyer, Iyengar, South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil weddings, with the customs understood.
The playful post-wedding games between the couple and their families, captured with fun.
Every tradition
We work quietly around the priests so the ceremony at the mandapam is never disturbed. The nadaswaram and thavil announce the sacred moments, and we are in position when they sound. We anticipate the muhurtham, the auspicious hour that sets the pace of the whole ceremony.
The bride's entrance in Kanjeevaram silk and temple jewellery is a highlight we love to capture. The oonjal swing, the singing and the rice balls offered to the couple are full of family warmth. We photograph the bridal preparations, the draping of the Kanjeevaram silk and the jasmine in the hair, with a gentle eye.

The whole celebration
The pre-wedding events often span more than one day, each with its own mood. Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours.
Whether the wedding and reception are on the same day or spread across a weekend, we plan for it. Just fifteen minutes is enough for a handful of timeless portraits near your venue.
Why choose us
With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about a Tamil muhurtham surprises us. We have spent twenty-five years learning the detail of Tamil weddings, and it shows in every muhurtham gallery.
From London we reach Redbridge easily, and we know the kalyana mandapams of Greater London well. We are glad to discuss your temple, your mandapam and the journey between your venues when you enquire.

Where we travel
We are London-based and travel across Greater London and the wider region for the early muhurtham and the mandapam rituals. We factor in travel and the early muhurtham start carefully, so we are in position before the nadaswaram begins.

Good to know
Always. We carry backup cameras, lenses and memory cards to every wedding, and we back up your images on the day itself, so your photographs are safe from the muhurtham right through to the last of the reception.
Yes. We photograph Iyer, Iyengar and other South Indian Tamil traditions, and are familiar with the differences in their rituals and the order of events, so we are always in position for the moments that matter most.
Absolutely. The nichayathartham, the mehndi and the sumangali prarthanai are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding, with the same care as the ceremony itself.
Yes. Many Tamil muhurthams are set for the very early morning, sometimes before dawn, and we are used to it. We arrive in good time and are fully ready, so the sacred hour is captured calmly and without any rush.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished, fine-art album that holds the whole story of your celebration, from the first event through to the reception.
