Serving Watford
Watford is a lively Hertfordshire town with banqueting venues. Wherever your events are held across Bushey, Garston and Oxhey, we plan the timings and the early muhurtham start with care. We cover the whole of the Home Counties, and Watford and the towns around it are well known to us.
We capture the emotion honestly, from the laughter of the mehndi to the tenderness of the maangalya dharanam. Timing is everything in a Tamil wedding, and we plan our coverage around the auspicious muhurtham. We follow your family's customs closely, Iyer, Iyengar or Sri Lankan Tamil, and photograph them exactly as you keep them.
We travel throughout Hertfordshire for mandapam ceremonies, and Watford, a lively Hertfordshire town with banqueting venues, is one we know well. We also photograph in nearby Carpenders Park and Maple Cross. Watford and the towns around it offer venues such as The Grove, The Langley Banqueting Suites and Hilton Watford, all familiar to us.
A lively Hertfordshire town just outside London, with a large shopping centre and a well-known football club. Served by Watford Junction on the West Coast Main Line and Watford station on the Metropolitan line. When there is time for couple portraits, Cassiobury Park, a large historic park with the River Gade and canal is a favourite, and Vicarage Road, home of Watford Football Club, with the Warner Bros. Studio Tour at nearby Leavesden makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
At home with Iyer, Iyengar and South Indian Brahmin customs and their order of events.
From the maalai maatral and kanyadaanam to the thali tying and saptapadi, every ritual and its timing understood.
The nichayathartham, mehndi and sumangali prarthanai, where the warmest moments often happen.
Every tradition
The blessings of the elders and the sammandhi mariyathai close the ceremony, and we capture them with warmth. The saptapadi, the seven steps the couple take together, completes the marriage, and we photograph it with reverence. The maalai maatral, when the couple exchange garlands lifted high, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph.
The grihapravesam welcomes the bride into her new home, and we are there for it. We photograph the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands, with all of its energy and laughter. We photograph the warmth of the two families meeting at the sammandhi mariyathai.

The whole celebration
The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration. Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours.
The story often ends with the grihapravesam that welcomes the bride into her new home. Because the muhurtham is early, we are ready and in position long before the auspicious hour arrives.
Why choose us
With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about a Tamil muhurtham surprises us. We have photographed South Indian mandapam ceremonies across the country for more than two decades.
We will travel to your temple, your kalyana mandapam and your reception, wherever the maalai maatral and the thali tying take place. We photograph Tamil weddings throughout the Home Counties, and Watford is firmly within the area we cover.

Where we travel
We cover the whole of the UK for Tamil weddings, so distance never stands between us and your muhurtham. An early muhurtham often means an early start on the road, and we plan the drive to the mandapam without fuss.

Good to know
Yes. Our style is mainly documentary, capturing the day as it happens, but we will also gather a handful of timeless couple and family portraits, so your album holds both the natural energy and a few quieter, elegant images.
Very much so. The muhurtham, the auspicious hour, sets the pace of a Tamil wedding and is often very early in the morning. We arrive in good time so the kanyadaanam, the thali tying and the saptapadi are all captured calmly and on schedule.
Of course. We regularly photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings in Watford, blending South Indian traditions with another family's customs with care, so both sides of the family see their day told faithfully and beautifully.
Yes, and they are among our favourite parts of the celebration. The oonjal swing with its songs, and the playful nalangu games between the two families afterwards, are full of warmth and laughter, and we capture every bit of it.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished, fine-art album that holds the whole story of your celebration, from the first event through to the reception.
