Serving Aberdeen
Your Asian wedding photographer in Aberdeen
Ceremonies look after themselves. Each one has a start, a room, and a person whose job it is. What puts a multi-day Aberdeen wedding at risk are the unclaimed hours: the run from one venue to the next, two hours in a hotel bedroom while a family changes, the flat patch after lunch on the middle day. None of it appears on a schedule, so none of it gets agreed, and coverage lapses without anybody having chosen that.
We travel to Aberdeen for these and we come for the run of days, not for one of them. What we want back from you is an order of events in writing with the empty hours marked as empty, so we can say plainly which we are covering, which we are not, and where we will be while we are not.

Asian wedding coverage in Aberdeen

Every tradition
From the Baraat to the Pheras and Beyond
For one family the pheras are the marriage. For another the laavan carry it, four times sung. Elsewhere a nikah-nama crosses a table and returns with signatures on it. Underneath, the photographic problem never varies: a brief fixed core that cannot be repeated, wrapped in hours that drift. So the core gets planned to the minute and everything around it loosely, since everything around it moves. Ask each building what time we may get in, because arrival rather than ceremony decides whether a picture of the empty room exists at all.
Over three days the risk shifts from missing a moment to running out of road. Cards get copied twice each night onto drives that do not then travel in the same bag. Batteries charge while everybody eats. On the second morning we ask what changed overnight, because something always did, and a schedule printed on Thursday is fiction by Saturday lunchtime.

Why choose us
How We Photograph Without Getting in the Way
Long lenses and short conversations. We spend the day behind you or beside you, seldom ahead of you, and the only stretch where we take charge is the family groups, because those never assemble by hope alone. Everything else gets recorded at whatever speed it chooses to run.

Kaushik Bathia has photographed weddings since 2001, more than a thousand of them, and holds five European Gold awards alongside FBIPP and FMPA fellowships.

Asian weddings in Aberdeen, FAQs
Yes. Every building keeps its own rules and we ask for them rather than assuming, ideally through whoever your family already deals with there. Once we know what applies inside that room, we work within it without needing reminders.
Yes, and what actually helps is knowing what each of them wants from us. A dhol player needs room to move. A DJ needs warning before a light goes anywhere near the floor. Introductions happen early, not mid-event.
Yes. Booked as one run, the three days in Aberdeen share a single schedule, and we stay nearby rather than arriving fresh each morning. Send the order of events with the empty hours marked, since those are what we plan around.
Yes. We cover Aberdeen, and travel goes into the quote instead of turning up later as a surprise. Send your dates at the earliest opportunity, since the further ahead this gets agreed the simpler the arrangement becomes.
By asking before arriving. We want the name of whoever speaks for the building and five minutes of their time, then we tell you what it means for your pictures. Rules vary between buildings of the very same kind.
