The hour that sits between one ceremony ending and a reception opening goes uncovered by default and unbudgeted by default, and it happens to be when the couple are most like themselves. We plan for it on purpose instead of writing it off as travel.
Something peculiar to weddings held across several days: every event has its own guest list. Relatives at the first evening may be gone by the last, so a group portrait you assumed could wait cannot. We ask for attendance event by event rather than for the wedding as a whole, and we take the family pictures on the day the family is genuinely there. That may well be the first night rather than the largest one.

Another may put all the weight on a single morning ceremony and treat the rest as hospitality. Finding out early which of them carries that weight is the work, and the coverage then grows outward from it rather than spreading evenly and treating the hour that matters like the buffet.
Between events the exposure shifts further than people expect. High windows in a hall at eleven, uplighters in a low room at nine, and a car park in between: three different problems, and it is the car park nobody plans for. We carry for all of them rather than optimising for one, which is why coverage running over several days comes with duplicate camera bodies rather than a single set.

- Elmore Court, west of Gloucester, has been the Guise family's home since the estate was granted to them in 1262; its Hall takes ceremonies of up to 150 seated guests, and receptions are held in the Gillyflower, a naturally built marquee of estate-farmed timber with rammed-earth walls. 1
- Gloucester Docks, linked to the Severn Estuary by the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal that opened in 1827, has fourteen Victorian warehouses that are now listed buildings, one of which houses the Gloucester Waterways Museum. 2
- Gloucester Park is an 11-hectare park near the city centre, created by the City Corporation in 1848 from part of the 1815 Spa Pleasure Grounds, with a bandstand, flower beds, mature trees and statues of Robert Raikes and Queen Anne. 3
- Gloucester Registration Office, Shire Hall. Gloucestershire County Council's Gloucester Registration Office is in Shire Hall on Westgate Street (GL1 2TG), where the Westgate Room holds ceremonies for up to 60 people, meaning the couple and no more than 56 guests plus two registration officers. 4
