The short answer

Your Asian wedding photographer in London, at a glance

An award winning, London based Asian wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings in London and across Greater London. We let the day unfold at its own pace and meet it with a quiet, watchful eye. Whether your wedding in London is Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim, Tamil or a fusion of traditions, we know the order of each faith's rituals and cover the whole celebration. Experience is not only knowing the rituals; it is knowing when a grandmother will cry and where the light will fall, and being ready for both. A second photographer, a female photographer for segregated events and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.

Serving London

Asian Wedding Photography Rooted in London

London is the capital, home to wedding venues across all its boroughs. Across the City, Westminster, Camden and every London borough and the wider reaches of Greater London, we cover ceremonies in mandaps, marquees and grand reception suites with the same careful eye. A ceremony is a sequence of small sacred acts, not one photograph, and we tell it as the story it is, from the first ritual to the last.

We are calm and unhurried, gathering the whole story without ever getting in the way. On the dance floor we shoot fast and close, catching the bhangra, the dhol and the uncles who never sit down, so the party reads as alive as it felt. We keep the calm of the ceremony and the energy of the reception in equal measure.

Wherever your venues are across London and Greater London, we plan the route and the timings in advance. London is the capital, home to wedding venues across all its boroughs. We also photograph in nearby Southall and Wembley. Close to London, we have worked at venues including Premier Banqueting London, Meridian Grand and Sattavis Patidar Centre.

London is the capital and one of the world's most diverse cities, with communities and wedding traditions from every corner of the globe. London is served by the Underground, the Elizabeth line, the Overground and every mainline terminus, and we reach any borough easily from our Northwood studio. We often take couples to the royal parks, including Hyde Park, Regent Park and Greenwich Park for a few quiet portraits, and landmarks from the Houses of Parliament to St Paul Cathedral is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer

What is included in your London Asian wedding coverage

01

Every Tradition

Whether Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim or Tamil, we know the rituals well enough to anticipate each one before it happens.

02

Every Tradition

Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil ceremonies, with the rituals and rhythm of each understood.

03

Muslim Weddings

The dignity of the nikah and the warmth of the walima, sensitively photographed.

Every tradition

Knowing the order of your day

As the sindoor is applied and the mangalsutra tied, a Hindu marriage is complete, and we are ready for both of those small, fast gestures. The kanyadaan, when a father places his daughter's hand in her husband's, is quiet and full of feeling, and we frame it without ever intruding. At a Sikh wedding the exchange of garlands and the palla placed in the couple's hands begin the Anand Karaj, and we follow from the very first hymn.

When the reception loosens and the dance floor takes over, the bhangra runs late and joyful, and we stay for every last turn under the lights. At the milni the two families meet and embrace, garlands are exchanged and the elders greet one another, and we record the warmth of that first joining. Each pre-wedding event carries its own mood, the intimacy of the mehndi, the play of the haldi, the exuberance of the sangeet, and we photograph all three in their own key.

The whole celebration

From the first ritual to the final dance

There is a particular kind of joy in a haldi, all warmth and yellow and gentle teasing, and we photograph it the way it actually happens, unhurried and honest. The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration.

For a Muslim wedding the nikah and the walima may fall on the same day or separate ones, and we cover both. The reception has its own tempo, softer at first and then loud, and we read that shift so the speeches, the first dance and the late-night floor all feel complete.

Why choose us

A safe pair of hands in London

A thousand weddings in, we still find every celebration unique, and photograph it that way. Our experience runs deep across Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Punjabi, Muslim and Tamil weddings.

We photograph across the City, Westminster, Camden and every London borough regularly, and returning to the county for a wedding feels less like travel and more like familiar ground. Much of our work takes us well beyond London, and the venues of Greater London are journeys we make gladly and often.

Good to know

Wedding photography in London, frequently asked questions

Yes. Twenty-five years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings in London and beyond mean we understand how each tradition's day unfolds, so we are always in position for the moments that matter and never caught out of place.

It varies with how many events you have, but multi-day Asian weddings typically produce several hundred finished images once we have edited the full collection. We select and refine every frame rather than handing over everything, so what you receive is the genuine story of your days.

Yes. Not every celebration is a five-hundred-guest affair, and we are just as happy photographing an intimate nikah, a family engagement or a registry ceremony followed by a small gathering. The same documentary care applies, whatever the scale of your day.

We can. For weddings in London where the ladies' side is kept private, or where a female photographer is preferred for the bridal preparations, we will arrange one as part of your coverage. Please mention this when you enquire so we can plan the team around your needs.

We photograph Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil weddings, and we have done so for more than 25 years across over a thousand celebrations. Each faith has its own rhythm and rituals, so we adapt our documentary approach to suit whichever tradition your family follows.

A London base means London sits within easy, familiar reach for us. You have a widely experienced Asian wedding specialist who has photographed every tradition, understands the venues in and around the area, and comes to you without any fuss.

Experience is the answer. After more than a thousand weddings, we read the pace of an Asian day instinctively, moving ahead of the action rather than chasing it. A second photographer covers a different angle at busy moments, so nothing important slips past unrecorded.
