Respect, in practice, means asking one person in each building what the camera is permitted, and then not testing the answer. Different buildings hand that decision to different people: a priest, a hall committee, an imam. The reply varies from full freedom to nothing at all during the ceremony, and it is never worth discovering that on the morning. One call, weeks ahead, removes the whole problem.

Before the day we go through what your venue publishes, for instance the Riverside Suite at Fletcher's Lea next to Ware Priory, which takes up to 160 for dining and 220 for a buffet, or the Great Hall at Fanhams Hall, seating 130 for a meal and 200 in the evening. We then arrive early on the day to walk the rooms and settle where each event will be photographed.
