Serving Palmers Green
Newborns, children, parents and grandparents are all welcome, and the plan follows the energy of the youngest person present rather than a fixed running order.
Broomfield Park's bandstand, orchard and old ponds give several distinct settings in one visit, which means plenty of variety in the gallery without anyone being walked too far.

…The gentleman took my family and I last minute for a photoshoot. Although we were running extremely late as we had a newborn, he waited patiently for us. He initially said he could only do 30 minutes because we were late but he ended up spending the entire hour and some minutes making sure we had the best photos.
We had our family portraits done many years ago with Kaushik Bathia and we loved them so we have now returned again this time with new additions to the family. On all the occasions we went Kaushik Bathia has taken care of everyone and made everyone laugh and smile especially the children in order to get the best photos.
…With 5 children aged between 2 and 7, the youngest of whom had just been woken up when we arrived and subsequently mainly wanted Mummy cuddles, it was very lucky for us that he was also very personable, and good at getting the little ones (and adults!) to smile/laugh naturally while looking at the camera!
What we offer
Outdoor sessions by the bandstand, orchard and historic ponds of Broomfield Park.
25+ years behind the lens
The full family picture is taken first, while everyone is fresh, then the session moves into smaller groups and freer moments. Kaushik directs with games and gentle prompts, so children laugh for real and adults forget to feel self-conscious.
You then view an online gallery at home and choose favourites together, with no pressure. Chosen family photographs are retouched lightly and supplied as files, or made into prints, frames, canvases and albums for relatives near and far.

Recent work
What makes a family shoot easy is room to move and a place everyone can reach, more than a dramatic view. Here are some places in and around Palmers Green, each summarised from a linked source. Your written quote includes travel from Northwood to a Palmers Green park, so the cost is clear before you book. Travel from Northwood is set out in your written quote before you book.

Good to know
Yes. The session can pause for a feed or a change whenever needed, and it follows the children's pace rather than a strict schedule.
Of course, and they are often the heart of the best pictures. Three generations are arranged in depth, with grandparents seated and younger relatives close around them, so everyone is comfortable.
Once you have chosen your favourite family pictures in the online gallery, prints, frames, canvases and albums can all be ordered. A large family group often suits a canvas over the sofa, while smaller prints make good gifts for grandparents. Web-ready and print-ready files are supplied as well, so you can share pictures easily.
Rather than matching outfits, choose a small palette of two or three colours that work together. Soft blues, creams and muted greens work well against the greenery and water of Broomfield Park. Avoid large logos and very bright neon. Comfortable shoes matter outdoors, and a spare top for each child is wise.
Yes, please be. Many parents spend years behind the camera and end up in very few family pictures themselves. The session includes the whole family together, each parent with the children and, if you like, a few frames of the two of you on your own.
Serving Palmers Green
It sits close to Winchmore Hill and Southgate, which we cover too.
A family session can start with a stroll along Green Lanes, the area's busy shopping street of Greek Cypriot and Turkish businesses, before heading into the park. Broomfield Park's 21 hectares, with lakes, a bandstand and a community orchard around the historic Broomfield House, give children space to explore between pictures. Grandparents and cousins coming by rail arrive on Aldermans Hill, where the Great Northern Hertford Loop stop shares a road with one of the park's entrances. For an outdoor family session, Broomfield Park's eighteenth-century ponds and big oak trees are a natural choice, and Grovelands Park lies just to the north.

How it works
We travel to Palmers Green from Northwood (about 13 miles) rather than asking you to travel to us. Family sessions are photographed on location, with lighting brought in as needed.
