The Baraat
The dhol, the dancing and the groom's joyful arrival, photographed with all of its energy.
Experienced Hindu wedding photographer serving Blackburn, covering the Ganesh puja, the varmala and the seven steps of the saptapadi, with calm, storytelling coverage and fine-art albums.
Serving Blackburn
Blackburn is a Lancashire town with a strong South Asian community and many mosques. Across Lancashire, including Darwen, Accrington and Great Harwood, we photograph the colour and devotion of every ritual. From Blackburn we cover weddings right across Lancashire, at temples, hotels, marquees and banqueting suites.
We take the time beforehand to understand your customs and the order of your events. We work discreetly around the pandit and the families, never intruding on a sacred moment. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own wedding.
Whether your celebration is in Blackburn itself or elsewhere in Lancashire, we plan travel and timings with care. Blackburn is a Lancashire town with a strong South Asian community and many mosques. We also photograph in nearby Burnley and Preston.

What we offer
The dhol, the dancing and the groom's joyful arrival, photographed with all of its energy.
The milni, the blessings and the ashirwad, so the whole gathering is remembered.
The haldi, mehndi and sangeet, where the warmest, most natural moments often happen.
Every tradition
We are mindful of every family's customs at the mandap, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marwari or North Indian. We photograph the mangalsutra and sindoor, the signs of the new marriage, with tenderness. The blessings of the elders and the ashirwad close the ceremony, and we capture them with warmth.
The dhol and dancing of the baraat are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy. The day often opens with a Ganesh puja for an auspicious start, and we are there for it. We photograph the milni, when the two families meet, with all of its warmth.

The whole celebration
The haldi and mehndi are intimate, colourful gatherings that set the tone for everything to come. The turmeric of the haldi and the henna of the mehndi are rich with colour, and we make the most of it.
The story ends with the griha pravesh that welcomes the bride into her new home. We always recommend a little time for couple portraits, often at golden hour, away from the bustle.
Why choose us
Experience means we are ready for the muhurat timing, the early starts and the precise order of rituals. We know the rhythm of a mandap ceremony by heart, so the sacred moments are always captured.
We photograph weddings throughout the North of England, and Blackburn is firmly within the area we cover. We cover the North of England and beyond, and are glad to travel further afield on request.

Where we travel
Distance is never a problem; travelling to your venues is simply part of how we work. We factor in travel and timings carefully, so we are always where we need to be.
