Sunderland is a north-eastern city with a diverse community. Hindu families throughout Washington, Houghton-le-Spring and Seaham trust us with their celebrations, large and small. We cover the whole of the North of England, and Sunderland and the towns around it are well known to us.

We let the day unfold at its own pace and meet it with a quiet, watchful eye. We blend candid storytelling with a handful of timeless, beautifully lit portraits. We keep the calm of the mandap and the energy of the reception in equal measure.

From baraat to saptapadi

The varmala and the madhuparka each have their place, and we capture them as they happen. The exchange of garlands high above the guests is a moment of laughter and joy, and we are ready for it. We photograph the couple's first steps as husband and wife around the sacred fire.

The vidaai, when the bride leaves her family home, is the most tender moment of the day. The sangeet is an evening of music and dance, and we capture all of its energy. The dhol and dancing of the baraat are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy.
