Cake cutting, first dance and the last song are covered without fuss, but we keep half an eye on the edges of the room, where the cousins and the grandparents are quietly holding court. Akhand path bhog is a calm, prayerful morning that sits beneath all the celebration, and we photograph it quietly and without flash, so the album carries the devotion as well as the dancing. During the choora ceremony we photograph the red and ivory bangles being slipped on by your maternal uncle, the blessings of the family and the tears that usually arrive with them.
