Langar feeds people, and it stops performing for a camera the instant anyone is invited to glance up, so nobody is invited. Serving hands, stacked plates, a long row of feet: the subject is a system working rather than individuals posing. The doli then empties a building at speed, its weight landing on a car door and whoever is crowded round it. One discipline covers both: nothing directed, nothing attempted twice, and enough focal length that your family forgets about us entirely.
