Serving Dudley
Dudley is a Black Country town with banqueting venues. We are comfortable in every setting in Brierley Hill, Stourbridge and Halesowen, from a busy gurdwara to an intimate family maiyan. We photograph at gurdwaras, banqueting halls and marquees right across the West Midlands.
We anticipate each part of the Anand Karaj, so the milni, the four laavan and the ardaas are never missed. Inside the gurdwara we work with great discretion, heads covered and shoes removed, never intruding on the kirtan. We capture the details too, the choora, the kaleere, the sehra and the palki, that make your Anand Karaj yours.
Much of our work takes us across the West Midlands; Dudley, a Black Country town with banqueting venues, and the towns around it, including Brierley Hill, Stourbridge and Halesowen, are very familiar to us. We also cover nearby Smethwick and Birmingham. In and around Dudley, we have photographed at venues such as Himley Hall and Prince Banqueting Suite.
Dudley is a Black Country town known as the capital of the Black Country, with a rich industrial heritage. Dudley sits near junction 2 of the M5 and Dudley Port railway station, and a West Midlands Metro extension to the town is under construction. For portraits away from the celebration, Himley Hall and Park with its Capability Brown landscaped grounds works beautifully, and Dudley Castle and the adjoining Dudley Zoo, alongside the Black Country Living Museum adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
A sneak preview of the Anand Karaj soon after the wedding, with your full gallery to follow.
We keep the calm of the darbar sahib and work quietly within gurdwara etiquette.
The music, the dancing and the candlelit pots of the jaggo, captured with all their energy.
Every tradition
The four laavan, each a hymn the couple circle the Guru Granth Sahib for, are the heart of the ceremony, and we capture them with reverence. We keep our distance during the laavan and the prayers, and step in only for the joyful greetings. We are mindful of gurdwara etiquette throughout, never turning our back to the Guru Granth Sahib.
We are glad to cover a single event or the whole multi-day celebration. We photograph the sehra bandi, when the groom's turban and sehra are tied, with all its ceremony. The dhol and bhangra of the jaggo are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy.

The whole celebration
The celebration usually builds gradually, from the quiet of a family gathering to the exuberance of the jaggo. Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours.
Just fifteen minutes is enough for a handful of timeless portraits near your venue. We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last dance.
Why choose us
Experience means we are ready for the early gurdwara start, the milni and the precise order of the four laavan. We are award-winning photographers with a long history of Sikh weddings in the gurdwara and beyond.
We travel happily across the West Midlands and the neighbouring counties for the maiyan, the Anand Karaj and the doli alike. We are glad to discuss your gurdwara, your reception venue and the journey between them when you enquire.

Where we travel
From London we reach Dudley easily, and we know the darbar sahib and langar halls of the West Midlands well. We photograph Sikh weddings throughout the Midlands, and the gurdwaras around Dudley are firmly within the area we cover.
