Serving Leicester
Leicester is a city with one of Britain's largest South Asian communities, the Golden Mile and many wedding venues. We are comfortable in every setting in Belgrave, Oadby and Evington, from a busy gurdwara to an intimate family maiyan. From Leicester we cover weddings right across Leicestershire, at gurdwaras, hotels, marquees and banqueting suites.
We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the Anand Karaj as faithfully as the bhangra. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own Anand Karaj rather than posing for it. We arrive early for the gurdwara start, stay through the doli and keep pace with the reception.
Leicester is a city with one of Britain's largest South Asian communities, the Golden Mile and many wedding venues, and we love photographing Sikh weddings here and across the Midlands. We regularly cover nearby Warwick and Loughborough as well. Venues we know well in and near Leicester include Winstanley House, Devonshire Place and The Platinum Suite.
Leicester is a city with one of Britain's largest South Asian communities, centred on the Golden Mile along Belgrave Road and home to major Diwali celebrations. Leicester railway station is on the Midland Main Line with direct services to London St Pancras, and the M1 and M69 serve the city. When there is time for couple portraits, Abbey Park, a Victorian park on the River Soar near the city centre is a favourite, and Leicester Cathedral, reburial place of King Richard III makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
The standing prayer that frames the Anand Karaj, captured as the sangat bow before the Guru Granth Sahib.
From the milni and the kirtan to the four laavan before the Guru Granth Sahib, every part understood and captured.
From the morning kirtan in the gurdwara to the last bhangra of the reception, told as one story.
Every tradition
From the milni to the final ardaas, the Anand Karaj tells its own story, and we follow it closely. Before the ceremony the groom's sehra is tied, and we photograph the sehra bandi with a gentle eye. The exchange of garlands and the joy of the sangat around the couple are moments we love to photograph.
The day often opens early with kirtan in the gurdwara, and we are there for it. We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the rituals. We photograph the sehra bandi, when the groom's turban and sehra are tied, with all its ceremony.

The whole celebration
Many Sikh weddings begin days before with the maiyan, the mehndi and a jaggo night. The jaggo night brings an evening of music, dancing and candlelit pots before the wedding day itself.
We know the order and timing of the wedding day, so we are always in position for each laav. From the morning preparations to the final dance, we give every part of the day the same care.
Why choose us
Decades of gurdwara weddings mean we read the day instinctively and never miss the milni or the doli. We have spent twenty-five years learning the detail of the Anand Karaj, and it shows in every gallery.
From our London base, Leicester and the gurdwaras of Leicestershire are an easy, familiar journey. We are used to Sikh celebrations spread across several venues, and keep the day flowing from the milni to the langar.

Where we travel
We will travel to your gurdwara, your reception and your pre-wedding maiyan and mehndi, wherever they are held. We cover the Midlands and beyond for the darbar sahib and the reception, and are glad to travel further afield on request.
