Swindon is a Wiltshire town with a South Asian community. Across Highworth, Wroughton and Royal Wootton Bassett and the rest of Wiltshire, we cover the milni, the Anand Karaj and the reception with a careful eye. We are as at ease with a quiet family langar as we are with a reception of several hundred guests.

We anticipate each part of the Anand Karaj, so the milni, the four laavan and the ardaas are never missed. We are at ease with large, multi-day Sikh celebrations and intimate gurdwara ceremonies alike. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own Anand Karaj rather than posing for it.

We travel throughout Wiltshire for Anand Karaj ceremonies, and Swindon, a Wiltshire town with a South Asian community, is one we know well. We also photograph in nearby Bath and Southampton. Venues we have photographed at near Swindon include Chiseldon House, Stanton House Hotel and Blunsdon House Hotel.

Swindon is a Wiltshire town that grew around the Great Western Railway works and retains a strong railway heritage. Swindon railway station is on the Great Western Main Line with fast trains to London Paddington. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Lydiard Park, a country estate with formal walled gardens and a Palladian house, with STEAM, the Museum of the Great Western Railway, housed in a former railway works building close by for a striking backdrop.

The langar that follows the ceremony, shared by the whole sangat, is a moment of community we capture with warmth. The kirtan and shabads that fill the gurdwara are as much a part of the story as the laavan themselves. The most sacred moments inside the gurdwara are captured with a quiet long lens, from a respectful distance.

The maiyan, when turmeric is applied, is full of colour and play, and often holds the warmest moments. We photograph the sehra bandi, when the groom's turban and sehra are tied, with all its ceremony. We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the rituals.
