What to weigh up before choosing a Bristol ceremony room

A civil ceremony can only happen in a room somebody has licensed for it, and nobody grants a licence on the strength of the daylight. So the most important room of your day was picked for a legal reason, and whatever is wrong with its windows is wrong permanently. Go and stand in there at your actual ceremony time, not whenever the viewing was offered, and a minute will tell you what we are dealing with.

Two registrars will not run the same room the same way. Some are content to have a photographer up at the front; others hold you to the back row and mean it; and which you get depends on the person rostered that morning, not on the building itself. We ask early, because the rest of the morning hangs off that answer. Church rules tend to be written down instead, usually fixing where you may stand and ruling out flash altogether. What can we do with our photos afterwards?+

Whatever you like, within reason. You get the finished images at full size with permission to print them, hand them to relatives and put them online, and the only thing we ask is that nobody re-edits our work and then credits us with it.

How many photographs will we receive?+

Enough that choosing becomes the hard part. We would rather hand over a tight edit than a hard drive of near-duplicates, so what arrives is everything worth keeping and nothing that merely happened. The number moves with the length of the day.
