An award winning, London based wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing weddings in Harlow and right across Essex. You will barely notice us for much of the day, and that is the point; the less we intrude, the more relaxed everyone stays in front of the lens. Church, civil, country house, barn, marquee or hotel, and every faith, culture and fusion celebration, we are equally at home photographing them all in Harlow. Fellowships of both the BIPP and the MPA are assessed on submitted panels of work rather than years served, which is a harder test than it sounds and a useful one for couples. Sculpture Town is not a marketing invention; this Essex new town on the Hertfordshire border holds a large collection of public artworks placed around it, and that gives outdoor portraits something almost nowhere else nearby can offer. The Gibberd Garden, the listed garden and sculpture collection created by town planner Sir Frederick Gibberd, is the fullest expression of it. Harlow Town Park, one of the largest urban parks in Britain and laid out by Gibberd with Sylvia Crowe, gives the space for large group photographs. That Amazing Place, Down Hall Country House Hotel and Manor of Groves carry the celebrations, and country house grounds change the calculation, since portraits can then happen without leaving the site at all. Harlow Town station on the West Anglia Main Line runs to London Liverpool Street, and Old Harlow, Church Langley and Roydon are minutes away.
