The short answer
For couples marrying in Bradford, Kaushik Bathia offers award winning Asian wedding photography, with more than twenty five years of experience across every tradition and over a thousand weddings behind the camera. Multi-day weddings ask for stamina and planning, so we map the running order with you beforehand and pace ourselves to be sharp from the haldi to the last song. Whether your wedding in Bradford is Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim, Tamil or a fusion of traditions, we know the order of each faith's rituals and cover the whole celebration. We have built our reputation on reliability, warmth and a genuine love of the work. A second photographer for the busiest days, a female photographer where needed and beautiful fine art albums are all part of what we offer, and we travel throughout West Yorkshire for your wedding.
Serving Bradford
Bradford is a Yorkshire city with one of the UK's largest South Asian communities. Couples throughout Shipley, Keighley and Bingley trust us with ceremonies in their family's place of worship and receptions in the county's largest venues alike. We work quietly around the priest, the granthi or the imam so the ceremony is never disturbed.
We photograph the small moments as carefully as the grand ones, the glances as well as the rituals. During the pooja and the fire ceremony we work from the edges with longer lenses, keeping the priest, the flames and the vows undisturbed. For the jaimala and the joota chupai we stay close to the fun, because these lighter rituals carry as much of the family's character as the solemn ones.
We travel throughout West Yorkshire for temple, gurdwara and mosque ceremonies, and Bradford, a Yorkshire city with one of the UK's largest South Asian communities, is one we know well. We also photograph in nearby Leeds and Huddersfield. Close to Bradford, we have worked at venues including The Maison, The Grand by Jalwa and White Abbey Ballroom.
Bradford is a West Yorkshire city with one of the UK's largest South Asian communities and a strong wool trade heritage, and it held UK City of Culture 2025. Bradford is served by Bradford Interchange and Bradford Forster Square stations, with the M606 linking to the M62. For portraits away from the celebration, Lister Park, home to Cartwright Hall and the Mughal Gardens works beautifully, and Cartwright Hall, a grand Baroque art gallery in Lister Park adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
Respectful, unobtrusive coverage in temples, gurdwaras and mosques.
Your day is finished in a handcrafted album, printed and bound to last, so the story lives somewhere real.
The turmeric, the laughter and the mess of a haldi morning are photographed exactly as they happen, warm and unforced.
Every tradition
Around the sacred fire, the seven steps of the saptapadi bind a Hindu couple together, and we photograph each vow from close enough to feel its weight. At a Muslim wedding, the nikah and the signing of the contract carry great dignity, and we cover them with respect. The kanyadaan, when a father places his daughter's hand in her husband's, is quiet and full of feeling, and we frame it without ever intruding.
We are glad to cover a single event or the whole multi-day celebration. We capture the groom's arrival in procession, on a horse, in a car or on foot, surrounded by dancing family. The haldi or pithi is full of colour and play, and often holds the warmest, most natural moments.

The whole celebration
There is a particular kind of joy in a haldi, all warmth and yellow and gentle teasing, and we photograph it the way it actually happens, unhurried and honest. The pre-wedding events frequently span several days, each with its own mood.
Between the ceremony and the reception there is often a great deal of waiting, and we use that time well, gathering portraits and quiet family moments while the room resets. The reception has its own tempo, softer at first and then loud, and we read that shift so the speeches, the first dance and the late-night floor all feel complete.
Why choose us
Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what comes next, whatever the faith. One studio comfortable across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings means you brief one experienced team, not several, for the whole celebration.
Distance is never a problem; travelling to your venues is simply part of how we work. We photograph weddings throughout the North of England, and Bradford is firmly within the area we cover.

Where we travel
We cover the whole of the UK for Asian weddings, so wherever your family gathers, distance is never the reason to look elsewhere. We will travel to your temple, gurdwara, mosque, reception and pre-wedding events, wherever they are held.

Yes. From the dignity of the nikah, the signing of the contract and the giving of the mehr to the warmth of the walima, we photograph it all, working respectfully within your family's customs and arranging additional photographers in Bradford where events are held separately.
Yes. Not every celebration is a five-hundred-guest affair, and we are just as happy photographing an intimate nikah, a family engagement or a registry ceremony followed by a small gathering. The same documentary care applies, whatever the scale of your day.
We can. For weddings in Bradford where the ladies' side is kept private, or where a female photographer is preferred for the bridal preparations, we will arrange one as part of your coverage. Please mention this when you enquire so we can plan the team around your needs.
Yes. A pre-wedding shoot is a lovely way to relax in front of the camera before the big day, and we are happy to arrange one at a location you love.
Yes, we are comfortable photographing at temples and are happy to travel to Bradford for a ceremony there. We take the time to understand the customs of the particular mandir, so we can work respectfully within its rules while still recording the day fully for you.
Since most Asian weddings in Bradford unfold from the morning preparations through to the reception, full-day coverage suits them best and captures the whole story. For multi-day celebrations we shape the hours around your events, covering a single key day or a long weekend from beginning to end.
