We are getting married in Leeds. Will you research our venue?+

Yes. We start with what the venue itself publishes: Leeds Civic Hall, for instance, has no parking of its own and guests enter through the front doors on Millennium Square, while the Oulton Suite at Oulton Hall opens onto the hotel terrace. On the day we arrive early to walk the rooms before your guests do and decide where each part of the coverage will happen.

How do you handle the low light inside many ceremony venues?+

Fast primes, wide apertures, and a body that copes when the sensitivity climbs, with no flash while anything ceremonial runs. In a truly dark room the added light goes behind the guests instead of in front, so nobody gets dazzled from their seat.

Can you photograph both the ladies' mehndi and the following ceremony?+

Yes, and the pair belong together. A mehndi evening is close, warm and largely seated, the reverse of the day that follows it, and having both in one set shows the change of gear that a single day's coverage cannot.

Can you cover a Muslim nikah with the sensitivity it deserves?+

Yes. It means fixing in advance how close a camera comes, dressing to suit the room, and lowering it altogether during recitation. Sensitivity is mostly preparation work; very little of it is improvised once the day starts.

Do you cover smaller Asian celebrations, not just large weddings?+

Yes. A registry ceremony with twenty guests and a lunch afterwards is a proper commission, not a favour, and small rooms are harder than big ones because a photographer has nowhere to go. Ask us about half-day coverage.
