Yes, and across several days of celebration one earns its keep. A separate shoot produces the only unhurried portraits you will get, and your first experience of being photographed together is then not on the morning a house fills with relatives.

Yes. We know the order, we know where a camera may and may not be put, and we know the four rounds are taken from one spot without shifting. We check with your family's granthi beforehand rather than assuming.

Which Asian wedding traditions do you photograph?+

Every one of them, though we would sooner be told which is yours than guess it from a surname. Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, Bengali, Pakistani, Sri Lankan: running orders differ enough that guessing is worse than asking.

Do you photograph the mehndi and sangeet nights before the wedding?+

Yes, and those nights are where people forget a camera is present. Both are badly lit by default, so we bring light of our own and keep it soft. Adding them puts a second shooter on rather than stretching one person's day.

Are you experienced with Tamil and South Indian weddings?+

Yes. South Indian ceremonies start earlier, run longer and have far more happening simultaneously than northern ones, so we plan a dawn call and staff the family separately while the rites carry on.
