…Kaushik has an incredible eye for detail and an exceptional talent for capturing those fleeting, candid moments that made our wedding so unique. The photos are absolutely stunning—full of emotion, vibrancy, and creativity. He didn’t just take photographs; he told the story of our wedding day in the most heartfelt and artistic way possible.
We were delighted with Kaushik being our wedding photographer. He was organised and professional and kept everything stress free. He took some great photos and produced a memorable wedding album. Highly recommended.
Kaushik photographed out wedding on september last year. He was so professional and was great with everyone making them laugh before taking all the snaps. We really couldn't have asked for more he worked hard all day to get the best pictures. We are very pleased with all the pictures and love the photo album. We will differently be using you again in the future Thank you!
Several days, several places
An Asian wedding in Essex might begin with a haldi or mehndi at a family home in Chigwell, move to a ceremony in a temple, gurdwara or mosque, and finish with a reception in a hotel or country house further into the county. Each event has its own timings, its own crowd and its own light, so we plan them as separate pieces of one wedding rather than one long day.
The first step is a list: every event, the address, the date, the start time and roughly how many guests. With that in hand, Kaushik can tell you which events need full coverage and which only need an hour or two, and the written quote sets out each day and the travel from Northwood for each.
Distance matters more when there are several days. The Epping Forest towns are about 20 to 23 miles from the studio, Harlow about 25, while a main day at Chelmsford or Colchester means a drive of about 39 or 57 miles. None of that is a problem, but it is easier to plan honestly from the start.

Ceremonies
For a Hindu wedding, the mandap is the centre of everything, and the pheras, the kanyadaan and the sindoor moments happen close together. Kaushik needs a clear line to the mandap without getting in the way of the priest or the family, so it helps to agree with the venue where the photographer can stand before the day.
A Sikh anand karaj takes place in the gurdwara, usually in the morning, with the laavan around the Guru Granth Sahib. Photography rules differ between gurdwaras, so we ask you to check with your committee about where a photographer may stand and when. The milni and doli on either side of the ceremony are just as important to record. Tell us in advance if the family would like the photographer to cover the jaggo or other evening events before the wedding day.
For a Muslim wedding, the nikah may take place at a mosque, at home or at the venue, and the walima often follows on a separate day. Kaushik follows the family's wishes on which moments are photographed, and on any parts of the day that should stay private. If the nikah and the reception are in different Essex towns, we plan the gap between them so the couple portraits can be taken without delaying the guests.
Venues
Couples searching for Asian wedding venues in Essex will find that a number of the county's venues advertise venue-only or dry hire, where you choose your own caterers. That matters if your family has a particular caterer in mind. Some Essex venues also publish dedicated Asian wedding offers covering events such as the mehndi, sangeet, baraat, nikah and walima, and some say their spaces can take large décor such as a mandap or a nikah stage.
Before you sign, ask how many guests the largest room seats for dinner, whether a mandap or stage can go up the day before, what time the venue must be cleared, and whether a baraat can arrive through the grounds. Those answers decide the shape of the day and the photographs.
Essex also has golf and country clubs set in 200 acres or more, listed manor houses with marquee lawns, and seafront hotels on the estuary, all of which suit the evening reception if the ceremony is held elsewhere. If you already have a venue, send its name and Kaushik will plan the coverage around its spaces.

Big guest lists
Large Asian weddings need a firm plan for the group photographs. With several hundred guests, family photographs can take an hour if nobody is organised, so we agree a short list of groups in advance and ask a relative who knows everyone by sight to call each group forward. That keeps the couple free for the rest of the reception.
A second photographer is worth considering for a large Essex wedding, for example when two households are getting ready at the same time in Chigwell and Brentwood. A second photographer can cover the other family's preparations at the same time, while Kaushik photographs the first. It is one of the optional extras, priced in your written quote along with an engagement shoot or a hand-finished album.
Parking and arrival also matter. A number of Essex venues sit in open countryside outside the towns, so allow time for coaches and cars to arrive before the ceremony starts, and share the timings with the photographer so the arrivals and the baraat are covered. A short call with the venue manager about where coaches can stop saves a lot of waiting on the day.

Each main Essex town has its own pages. In the west, see Asian weddings in Loughton, Sikh weddings in Chigwell and Hindu weddings in Harlow. Further into the county, there are pages for Muslim weddings in Brentwood, Asian weddings in Chelmsford and Hindu weddings in Southend-on-Sea. There are also Muslim, Sikh and Hindu pages for Epping, Grays, Billericay, Basildon and Colchester, each linked from the towns table below.
For civil ceremonies, register offices and the wider venue picture across the county, read the Essex wedding photography page, and for packages and albums the national Asian weddings page. Between them, those pages and this one should give you enough to plan a shortlist, and Kaushik is happy to talk any of it through on the phone before you decide.

Planning
Write down each event, its address, date and guest numbers. The written quote then shows coverage and travel from Northwood for each day separately.
Where a photographer may stand varies by place of worship. Ask your committee early and share the answer with us.
Several Essex venues let you bring your own caterers. Confirm when the mandap or stage can go up and when the room must be cleared.
Agree a short list of family groups and one person to gather each, so a big Essex reception does not lose an hour to photographs.
Chelmsford is about 39 miles from the studio and Colchester about 57, so an early mehndi or haldi there needs an earlier start.
