Keep events close together
Events in one week can share one stay. Spreading them over two weekends means two trips from Northwood, which costs more.

Hindu, Sikh and Muslim weddings in Telford, Shrewsbury and the Ironbridge Gorge, photographed by Kaushik Bathia from £750. At 114 to 125 miles from Northwood, each event is planned with its travel and hotel nights written into one quote.
The short answer
Yes. Kaushik Bathia photographs Asian weddings in Shropshire, including Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Punjabi ceremonies in and around Telford and Shrewsbury. Packages start from £750 and cover as many events as you need. Telford is about 114 miles from Northwood and Shrewsbury about 125, so travel and overnight stays for each day are set out in writing before you book.
I had hired Mr Kaushik as our photographer for my son and daughters wedding fir all the ceremonies conducted and found him to be friendly professional with all the guests The quality of his photographs are excellent and are of high quality I was also very impressed when he had completed the albums He also give extra hours if needed and does not complain I would recommend to anyone
…Kaushik has an incredible eye for detail and an exceptional talent for capturing those fleeting, candid moments that made our wedding so unique. The photos are absolutely stunning—full of emotion, vibrancy, and creativity. He didn’t just take photographs; he told the story of our wedding day in the most heartfelt and artistic way possible.
Kaushik has created the perfect wedding albums for us to share with our loved ones forever, the family love them and we couldn't have asked for more. Beyond our expectations. A true professional, great communication and an understanding individual throughout the whole process. Thank you!!!
Planning at distance
A Shropshire Asian wedding may have a mehndi, a sangeet, the ceremony and a reception over three or four days. Driving back to Northwood between events is rarely practical, so an overnight stay is usually sensible at this distance and is set out in your written quote alongside the travel.
Because of that, it helps to keep the events close together in the calendar. A mehndi on Thursday, a ceremony on Saturday and a reception on Sunday can be covered in one stay. Spreading the same events over two weekends means two trips, which costs more. We set out both options if you are unsure.

Event by event
Send us each event with its date, start and finish time, and postcode. A haldi or mehndi at home in Telford, a sangeet at a hall in Wellington and a ceremony and reception at a hotel near Shrewsbury are three different locations, each with its own parking, light and timings.
We use those details to build a day-by-day plan. It shows where Kaushik will be, when he will arrive and how long each event is covered. If you want a second photographer for the larger days, they appear in the same plan before you book.
Space and setting
Shropshire's approved venues are mostly manor houses, hotels and historic buildings. North of Shrewsbury, manor house venues with gardens and marquees take weddings of up to a couple of hundred guests. Golf resorts in Telford and riverside hotels in the Ironbridge Gorge also host weddings.
For a big Asian reception, check the seated capacity with a stage and dance floor, whether outside caterers are welcome, and where the mandap or stage can stand. Garden and marquee venues give lovely daylight for the haldi and couple portraits, and we bring lighting for the evening so the reception photographs well too.

The legal ceremony
Where the religious ceremony takes place somewhere not licensed for marriage, the legal part happens separately. Telford and Wrekin Register Office at Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre offers the Register Office, The Atrium or The Wrekin Suite. In Shrewsbury, The Guildhall on Frankwell Quay is both Shropshire Council's registration point and an approved ceremony venue.
You can hold the civil ceremony a day or two before the religious wedding, in the same trip, which keeps the travel to one journey. We can photograph it as part of the full package, with a few quiet portraits by the river at Frankwell or in the Quarry before the busier days begin.
Ceremonies and portraits
At a Hindu wedding, Kaushik agrees positions with the pandit before the pheras. During the anand karaj, he keeps out of the congregation's line of sight while the laavan are read. At a nikah, he keeps the coverage modest and quiet, pausing during prayers. Each place of worship may have its own rules, which we follow. See our pages on Hindu weddings, Sikh weddings and Muslim weddings.
For couple portraits, the Iron Bridge, a single 30-metre cast-iron span of 1779 in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, makes a striking setting for a lehenga or sherwani. In Shrewsbury, the Quarry's sunken Dingle garden and the view from Laura's Tower are close to the town centre.

Town pages
For local detail, read Asian weddings in Telford and Sikh weddings in Shrewsbury. Each page lists the distance from Northwood and the nearest register office, so you can see how the travel in your quote is worked out. Telford's pages also cover Wellington and the Ironbridge Gorge, and Shrewsbury's cover the Guildhall and the Quarry.
For civil and church weddings, the Shropshire wedding guide covers the county's register offices, venues and portrait spots, and explains how an overnight stay fits a Shropshire booking. It also covers the Shrewsbury Flower Show, which fills the Quarry for two days each mid-August.
