Hindu, Sikh and Muslim weddings at Worcestershire barns, estates and hotels, from the haldi to the reception. Kaushik Bathia covers each day from £750, with travel from Northwood and any hotel nights quoted in writing.
The short answer
Yes. Kaushik Bathia photographs Asian weddings in Worcestershire, including Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Punjabi ceremonies, at venues around Worcester, Bromsgrove and Redditch. Each event is planned with you, and packages start from £750. Redditch is about 81 miles from Northwood and Worcester about 87, so travel and any overnight stays are set out in a written quote before you book.

On Birmingham's doorstep
Bromsgrove's northern side looks towards Birmingham. The Lickey Hills Country Park, south of Rednal and close to Barnt Green, is run by Birmingham City Council and rises to 298 metres at Beacon Hill. Bromsgrove station sits at the foot of the Lickey Incline, a two-mile railway climb towards Barnt Green, and Redditch lies a few miles to the east, a new town since 1964 that grew from 32,000 to more than 70,000 people by 1984.
For a family based in south Birmingham, a venue near Bromsgrove or Redditch can offer more space and countryside than a city hall, without asking guests to travel far. For us, Bromsgrove and Redditch are about 81 to 87 miles from Northwood, and the travel for each day of the wedding is quoted in writing, alongside any hotel nights between events.

Space for the guest list
Capacity is the first filter for most Asian weddings. West of Worcester, towards the Malvern Hills, some hotels have stand-alone suites licensed for several hundred guests. Near Bromsgrove, exclusive-use barns take a couple of hundred for an evening party, and Worcester's riverside hotels have function suites for smaller receptions.
Exclusive-use venues give you control of the timetable, which matters when rituals run long. Ask each one about outside caterers, space for a mandap or stage, and whether a dhol and baraat can arrive on site. Those details decide where we stand, how the day flows and how much time is left for family groups, which at a big Asian wedding can easily take an hour if nobody is organising them.
Outdoor rituals
Several Worcestershire venues use tipis, stretch tents and marquees. Around Redditch and Stoke Prior, the outdoor options include festival fields with stretch tents and farm venues with a lake and a tipi. These work beautifully for a haldi or mehndi in the open air, but the weather needs a plan.
We ask where the haldi would move if it rains, and where the light falls in the tent at the time of the ritual. Turmeric and colour photograph best in soft daylight, so an earlier start can help. In the evening, we bring lighting for the stage and dance floor so the reception looks as good as the day.

Ceremonies
For a Hindu ceremony, Kaushik talks to the pandit beforehand about the order of rituals and where to stand during the pheras. At the anand karaj, he follows the gurdwara's guidance on where to stand while the laavan are sung. For a nikah, he keeps the coverage quiet and modest and pauses during prayers.
Places of worship set their own rules, so check them with the committee before the day. Our national pages explain how each tradition is covered from start to finish: Hindu weddings, Sikh weddings and Muslim weddings. For the legal ceremony, all Worcestershire statutory ceremonies are held at The Hive in Worcester, and you can keep that part small, with close family, a few days before the religious wedding.
Before the big days
A pre-wedding shoot is a good way to get used to the camera before several busy days. In Worcester, the riverside and Gheluvelt Park give views of the cathedral and the Severn. Near Bromsgrove, Beacon Hill in the Lickey Hills has a toposcope and wide views, and Arrow Valley Country Park in Redditch has a lake of nearly 30 acres.
We can also shoot at the Northwood studio if that is easier. If you want the pictures for invitations or a welcome board at the reception, book the shoot a few months before the wedding. The shoot can be added to your package and is priced in the same written quote as the wedding days.

For more local detail, see Asian weddings in Worcester, Sikh weddings in Bromsgrove and Hindu weddings in Redditch. Each town page lists the distance from the Northwood studio and nearby portrait spots, which helps if your events are spread between Worcester and the north of the county.
For civil and church weddings, the Worcestershire wedding guide covers The Hive register office, venue styles and the cathedral backdrops in more detail. It also explains how a long day from Northwood compares with an overnight stay, and which parks near the cathedral and the Severn suit portraits between ceremony and meal.

Tipis and garden spaces need an indoor fallback for the haldi or mehndi. Tell us the plan so we can photograph it in the best light.
If the baraat arrives with a dhol, ask the venue where it can enter. We position ourselves to catch the arrival and the milni.
Statutory ceremonies are held at The Hive in Worcester, which suits a small civil ceremony with close family before the main celebration.

Good to know
Yes. Redditch is the southern end of the Cross-City Line, 14.5 miles from Birmingham New Street, with a train every 30 minutes, and Bromsgrove is on the same line. Tell us when the guest trains arrive and the group photographs can be timed for when relatives are there. Packages start from £750.
Capacity varies across the county. Hotels west of Worcester have suites licensed for several hundred, and barns near Bromsgrove take a couple of hundred in the evening. Check each venue's own figures for a seated reception with a stage.
Yes, where the venue allows it. Tipis, gardens and festival fields suit an outdoor haldi. We ask about the rain plan, check where the light falls at the time of the ritual, and photograph it in daylight where possible.
Yes. Redditch is about 81 miles from Northwood and Worcester about 87, so a mehndi in the north of the county and a ceremony by the Severn fit one booking. Each day is listed in the quote with its hours, travel and any overnight stay, and you can add or remove events before you book.
Only if your religious venue is not licensed for marriage. Worcestershire's statutory ceremonies take place at The Hive in Worcester, and the Glass Room holds up to 60 people, so it suits close family before a larger celebration elsewhere.
If events run on consecutive days, or start very early, an overnight stay is usually sensible at this distance and is set out in your written quote. It appears as its own line, before you book, so you can weigh it against driving back to Northwood.
Yes. The riverside in Worcester, Beacon Hill in the Lickey Hills and Arrow Valley Country Park all work well, or you can visit the Northwood studio. It can be added to your wedding package and priced in the same written quote.
