The short answer
Yes. Kaushik Bathia photographs Asian weddings anywhere in Surrey, including Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati, Punjabi and Tamil ceremonies, from mehndi and haldi at home to the nikah, anand karaj, walima and reception. Coverage starts from £750 and multi-day weddings are quoted by event. The Northwood studio is about 12 miles from Staines-upon-Thames and 20 from Woking, and travel is set out in your written quote.
Kaushik photographed out wedding on september last year. He was so professional and was great with everyone making them laugh before taking all the snaps. We really couldn't have asked for more he worked hard all day to get the best pictures. We are very pleased with all the pictures and love the photo album. We will differently be using you again in the future Thank you!
Absolutely delighted with Kaushik Bhatia’s work! His ability to capture candid moments with such elegance and emotion is truly commendable. The attention to detail, creativity in framing, and warm professionalism made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Every photo tells a story, and Kaushik sur brings those stories to life. Highly recommended for anyone looking for timeless, heartfelt photograph!
…Kaushik is incredibly talented, artistic, and truly gifted with a photographer’s vision. He knows exactly what he wants each frame to look like and how to get the best out of his subjects. Honestly, there were moments during the shoot when I’d wonder, “What is he making me do?” – but when I saw the final shots, I was blown away. Every image looked beautiful, intentional, and natural.
Several days, one county
A Surrey Asian wedding often moves between a family home, a place of worship and one or two hired venues over three or four days. The mehndi or haldi may be in a garden in Weybridge, the religious ceremony in Woking, and the reception in a hotel suite near Epsom or Camberley. Kaushik treats each event as its own booking within the whole, with its own start time, location and picture list.
That matters in a county this wide. From the Thames towns in the north to Reigate and Redhill under the Downs is a long cross-county drive, so if events fall on the same day in different parts of Surrey, the timeline needs real gaps. Kaushik looks at the addresses with you and points out where a transfer will be tight.
Travel is handled per event. Each day's journey from Northwood is set out in your written quote, so a mehndi in Egham and a reception in Guildford are both visible before you book.

Muslim weddings
Woking has a large Pakistani community centred on Maybury and Sheerwater, and it is home to the Shah Jahan Mosque on Oriental Road. Built in 1889, it is the first purpose-built mosque in the United Kingdom and is a Grade I listed building. For a nikah anywhere, Kaushik asks in advance what photography the mosque or imam allows, and where the photographer may stand during the ceremony.
You can hold the nikah, the walima and the reception on different days or in different places. Kaushik can cover a quiet nikah at home with close family and then a larger walima at a hired hall, adjusting the approach for each. See the Muslim wedding photographer in Woking page and the main Muslim weddings page for more on nikah coverage.
Hindu and Sikh weddings
For a Hindu wedding, the day might begin with a pithi or haldi at home, followed by the baraat and the ceremony under a mandap in a hotel ballroom or hall. Kaushik photographs the rituals in sequence and keeps close to the priest without blocking the families' view. The Hindu weddings page sets out what a full day of coverage includes.
A Sikh anand karaj takes place in the morning at a gurdwara, with the four laavan around the Guru Granth Sahib, before the couple and guests move on to a reception later in the day. Kaushik follows the gurdwara's guidance on head coverings, footwear and where to stand. If your gurdwara is outside Surrey and the reception is in it, both are planned as one day. Read the Sikh weddings page for more.
Kaushik does not assume which temple or gurdwara you will use. Tell him the address and he will check access, parking and photography rules with you before the day.

Guest numbers
Surrey's licensed venues range from rooms for 16 people to suites licensed for several hundred, so the guest count shapes your venue shortlist early. For photography, a bigger room means planning family group shots in advance: with 300 or more guests, Kaushik works from a written list of groups and a family member who knows everyone, so the groups move quickly between the ceremony and the meal.
If you hold the civil marriage separately, it can be a short ceremony at one of Surrey's three register offices. Rylston in Weybridge is licensed for up to 48 guests and The Mansion in Leatherhead for up to 58, while Guildford's ceremonies for 2 to 18 guests move to Suite 3 at the Guildford Harbour Hotel until 29 March 2027. All are indoors only. Kaushik can cover that ceremony as a short booking on its own day.
Getting everyone there
Asian weddings often bring relatives from overseas, and Surrey is well placed for both main London airports. Staines-upon-Thames sits close to Heathrow and is linked to junction 13 of the M25 by the A30, while Gatwick Airport is about 7 miles south of Redhill. Choosing a hotel base near the airport your guests will use can make the mehndi and sangeet nights easier for everyone.
For guests coming by train, Woking is the busiest station in Surrey and a main stop on the South West Main Line, 24 miles from London Waterloo, and Redhill is the junction of the Brighton Main Line, the North Downs Line and the line to Tonbridge. Kaushik builds the photo timeline around when the key relatives actually arrive.

Surrey town guides
Each Surrey town has its own Asian wedding page with local register office and travel details. Start with Asian weddings in Woking, Staines-upon-Thames or Epsom, or the Sikh wedding photographer in Camberley page. For civil and register office planning across the county, the Surrey wedding photography guide covers ceremonies, seasons and distances.
Planning
A mehndi, a ceremony and a reception in different Surrey towns are each priced and timed separately, with each journey from Northwood shown in writing.
Before a nikah, confirm with the mosque or imam where a photographer may stand and which areas can be photographed, so nothing is decided on the day.
With several hundred guests, send a list of family groups in advance and name one relative to gather people, which keeps the groups short.
A separate civil marriage can be at Weybridge (up to 48 guests) or Leatherhead (up to 58), indoors only, and photographed as its own short booking.

Good to know
Coverage starts from £750. A multi-day Asian wedding is priced by event, so a mehndi, a ceremony and a reception each have their own hours in the quote. Extras such as a second photographer, a pre-wedding shoot or an album can be added, and travel from Northwood is shown in writing for each day.
Yes. Kaushik photographs nikah ceremonies at mosques, homes and halls in Woking and across Surrey, following the mosque's or family's guidance on where photography is allowed. Woking is about 20.4 miles from the Northwood studio, and the travel is quoted in writing before you book.
Yes. The anand karaj is usually in the morning at a gurdwara, and the reception in the afternoon or evening at a hall or hotel. Kaushik covers both, and if they are in different Surrey towns, he plans the transfer time with you so nothing is missed.
Yes. Kaushik photographs Hindu weddings from the pithi or haldi to the pheras, sindoor and vidaai, working close to the mandap without blocking the families. Gujarati, Punjabi and Tamil traditions all have their own order, and he goes through yours with you beforehand.
For large guest lists, or when the two families get ready in different places, a second photographer can cover the other family's preparations at the same time. It is an optional extra, and Kaushik will say honestly whether your day needs one.
Surrey County Council's register office ceremonies are held at Weybridge, Leatherhead and Guildford, indoors only. Guildford's Artington House office closes from November 2026, with small ceremonies in Suite 3 at the Guildford Harbour Hotel until 29 March 2027.
As soon as the main dates are fixed. Multi-day weddings tie up several days in a row, often in the busy summer months, so it helps to send all the event dates and towns together when you enquire.
