The alternative is being moved mid-rite by somebody whose room it actually is, and getting that wrong once costs more goodwill than any single frame could repay.

Endings are what families most often lose. By then everybody is tired, the light has gone, a car is waiting and somebody is crying in a doorway. It is also, reliably, the print that gets framed. So we hold something back for it: batteries charged, a lens that behaves in the dark, and a position picked an hour earlier instead of found in a crowd. Departures are not repeated for the camera.

Yes, booked alone or added to a wedding. Some couples want them for cards and invitations; others simply want pictures from a year they do not get back. Both are perfectly good reasons to spend an afternoon on it.
